Fun Foundations in Card Backgrounds


It's so hot I've got a blizzard to share today! Winter Blizzard from Stampendous is a really amazing new 6 x 6 inch stamp with a removable snowflake section to customized with a sentiment or the snowflake itself!

Let's see what I did with this crazy cool stamp!

Plus:
  • Mixed Media White Paper (AZ, STM)
  • VersaMark Watermark Ink Pad (AZ, STM)
  • Detail Clear Embossing Powder (AZ, STM)
  • Detail Black Embossing Powder (AZ, STM)
  • Static Remover Pad (AZ)
  • Watercolor Glitter Mix (
    • Mono Multi Liquid Glue by Tombow (AZ)
Instructions:
  1. Watercolor background on 5 x 5-inch white cardstock and let dry.
  2. Use static remover on background paper and place in a stamp positioner and stamp outer part of Winter Blizzard with VersaMark ink then emboss with Detail White Embossing Powder.
  3. Replace snowflake in background stamp and then remove the outer part of the stamp. Ink with Versamark ink and emboss with Detail Clear powder.
  4. Use liquid glue to outline some of the snowflake and sprinkle with Twinkle Glitter then tap excess back into the jar.
    Stamp sentiment with Versamark ink onto white paper and emboss with black embossing powder. Trim and glue to watercolor layer.
  5. Glue onto dark blue cardstock and then onto a folded 5-1/2 inch square white card base.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster.
