Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Santa is hard at work getting packed and ready to come to town! This week all the fun stamp images from Stampendous are being highlighted with the design team and over on the Stampendous blog!

I had this fun Santa image colored up and ready for a project, this week was a perfect time to finish it up!

I've put this card together in a whimsical style just suited for the fabulous designs by Nicoletta Zanella from Pink Your Life. You can see more of her fantastic stamps on the Stampendous website, but for my friends in Europe go to Pink Your Life for a purchase!

Instructions:

1. On watercolor paper stencil Big Dots Stencil with White Gesso and sponge, Remove stencil and promptly wash, let the watercolor paper dry.
2. Scribble Gelatos onto plastic craft mat or palette and add to watercolor paper with a paintbrush. Let dry.
3. Stamp Whisper Friends Santa Resting with black ink onto watercolor paper and again onto Mixed Media White Paper and color with Copic markers if desired.
4. Trim around the colored image taking off bows and bubbles, glue to watercolor paper over the stamped image.
5. Stamp Merry Scrolls in black ink onto watercolor paper.
6. Border the watercolor paper with a line of liquid glue and sprinkle Vintage Twinkle Glitter over it, tapping off excess and returning to the container. Let dry.
7. Glue watercolor paper to a folded 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch kraft card base.

Instructions:

1. Stamp Whisper Friends Reindeer with black ink onto white cardstock twice. Color the entire of one image with the girl as a dark shadow. Color the second image girl and choker only.
2. Trim both images and adhere together with a foam adhesive on the girl's body and glue on the hat and foot and neck of the choker.
3. Stamp sentiment in black onto white cardstock and trim out with the circle die from Build A Wreath.
4. Using an airbrush tool, apply RV25 around the edges. Glue to scallop circle from Winter Lake Cardstock. Set aside. (Tip: You can also use a sponge wet with blending solution to pick up marker color scribbled on a nonporous surface or use a similar color ink pad.)
5. Tape a 4-14 x 5-1/2 inch white cardstock to a flat surface and cover bottom half with a sticky note shaped like a snowy horizon. Airbrush B66, B26, and BG15 onto the top half of cardstock. Use the reverse shape of the sticky note to cover the horizon just made and spray C3 across the horizon along the sticky note. Move the sticky note a couple more times down the rest of the card to make snow banks on the right and left sides. Trim to 4 x 5-1/4 inches.
6. Use a watermark pen on each C3 line, then sprinkle Sparkle Puff and tap off excess back into the container. Heat set from the back side of the paper. Add more as desired.
7. Sprinkle Vintage Pink Tinsel Powder across the sky horizon, move around stray pieces with a dry paintbrush and heat set from the back of the paper.
8. Glue sparkly background onto a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch folded card base.
9. Adhere the colored Reindeer with foam squares.
10. Position sentiment onto the card and mark trim lines so it will fit inside corner of the card base. Trim and glue on the card base.

Instructions:

1. Tape 90lb watercolor paper onto a flat surface with painter's tape.
2. Dab Distress Oxide ink onto acrylic stamp handles, spray with water and dab onto watercolor paper. Activate ink with more spray and dab off in places then dry with heat tool. Repeat with other oxide colors. Dry completely. Repeat with regular distress inks, drying between applications.
3. Trim watercolor paper to 4 x 5-1/4 inch and adhere to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 inch Comodore Blue cardstock.
4. Rub Boss Gloss around corners in a vignette shape (oval shown), sprinkle Vintage Pink Tinsel around, tap off excess and heat set.
5. Place a line of ZipDry glue around watercolor paper and quickly sprinkle with Vintage Twinkle Tinsel Glitter Mix. Tap off excess and return to container.
6. Adhere to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch folded Kraft card base.
7. Stamp Whisper Friends Gift Giving with black ink onto Mixed Media White Paper, color and trim with scissors and/or craft knife.
8. Adhere Whisper Friend with foam adhesive, gifts with glue.

One Last Summer Vacation

I hope you're enjoying or will try to fit in one more vacation/staycation before school begins! We just got back from a week at the Washington beach, and it was SO relaxing!

We didn't find any surfers of the shore in Washington, but this Whisper Friend surfer will work great as a stand in for our vacation photos. {wink}

Instructions:

1. Stamp Surfer with black ink onto Mixed Media White Paper and color.
2. Mat onto Wildflower and Harvest Orange cardstock, then glue onto a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch folded Winter Lake card base.
3. Stamp sign and seashells with black ink onto white paper and color.
4. Trim out sign and seashells, add foam adhesive to sign and adhere to card base.
5. Glue seashells onto the card.
