Jewelry + Metal = Stampendous Blog Hop

Okay, have you all loved the metal and jewelry resin mixed with Stampendous? We have covered four days of creative projects with all these fantastic products and it's worth an applauding mention to them individually. EnviroTex Jewelry Resin  from ETI and their brand new  Jewelry Clay !  These products are easy to work. The hardest part is keeping your attention on the instruction because you can't wait to get started. READ the instructions and the rest is easy. Carmi at  Resin Crafts Blog   Thanks for all the inspiration and information to always keep us going with our jewelry resin and clay. I'm a klutz at pulling jewelry components together. I'm sure there is even a better name for "jewelry components", but when one starts with quality foundation well that's the most important. We were so fortunate to work with products from Nunn Design   A special thanks goes out to them. Blog hop details (and prizes):   Comment, comment, c...

Jewelry - Stampendous does a great mix-in!

Last summer Stampendous and the Design Team partnered with Carmi of Resin Crafts Blog for a week long explosion of fabulous jewelry and that was so much fun we are doing it again this week. We have something new to share with you for our project this week. We welcome back Carmi of Resin Crafts and the amazing products from Envirotex including their new jewelry clay! AND The wonderful jewelry components from Nunn Designs ! This necklace is made with the Antique Copper Framed Rectangle Single Loop Pendant from Nunn Designs and some mixed Jewelry Clay from Envirotex. Just like with the Jewelry Resin, read the instruction thoroughly before you start. You'll need some disposable gloves to work the two-part clay, something I apparently don't have readily available. I used Stampendous Tiny Alphabet to create the word JOY. I noticed after working in the beads, earring pins, Stampendous Bronze Fragments and Ultrafine Glitter that the word started to disappear s...

May Diva Dare with Verve Stamps

Verve's May Diva Dare is winding down and I'm honored to be posting today on the US holiday of Memorial Day. Thank you for all those who have served our country and those who are continuing to serve today. The details for the Diva Dare are over on the  Verve Stamps blog ! If you have some time today go see all the wonderful samples from the rest of the Release Team Divas on the side bar. A CAS card for Laurie Willison's style. I started with the card below and had some extra paints so I made up this card. I added the texture by painting a scrap piece of cardboard for the stripes and then good ol' bubble wrap for the dots. For this card, I started with a full sheet of kraft cardstock and in three sections I brushed on white paint then with bubble wrap and corrugate board stamped red and blue paint. I used the  Banner Bundle Set  to cut out the red and blue banners, but when it came to the white painted kraft I stamped a sentiment from  Let It Be ...

STAEDTLER and Stampendous Blog Hop

It's the grande finale hop today. I've so enjoyed using STAEDTLER fine art supplies to color my Stampendous images. Thank you to our coordinators April and Laura for creating such a wonderful week of great inspiration. It's so great that there are prizes! Oh yeah. Feel free to check out the details below so I can get right to my sample share. My project today is a quick one. I stamped the Jumbo Calla Lily stamps on mixed media paper and then stared at it for bit. I grabbed two chalks  and created the foundation colors. Then I lightened up the petals some more with a lighter color. I switched to the Ergosoft watercolor pencils and added greens to the stems and blues to the background. I did add some scarlet to the centers of the flowers. Now then, I had in my package a few graphite pencils and pigment liners  to use so I just started doodling around the flowers. This is too big for a card, but I think it will be a great little framed piece I'll keep in my st...

Color me happy with STAEDTLER and Stampendous

Its the third day of a colorful partnership with STAEDTLER products this week while we showcase our theme Up, Up and Away with new images from the Stampendous 2013 April Catalog .  You all know I love color, right? Well, it's not that easy to hold me back from using everything in the rainbow, but I think I managed to leave out... nope I got them all in, tee-hee. I created a card with three sets (see list below) of new stamps on this card. After stamping out the Hot Air Trio in Jet Black Ranger ink (waterproof ink) I opened the glorious package of STAEDTLER Ergo Soft Aquarell Pencils and delicately started adding color. It wasn't long before I was using all the techniques and then some for applying color with these pencils onto the balloons. Dry on dry, dry on wet and wet on dry, and using the soft pastels as a resist in the sky. I have had a set of the STAEDTLER Triplus Color pens that I've used on and off to add a solid color to a piece and also to use on journal...

Apple of A teacher's life

Trudy came up with a grand idea! Use glitter and add a layer of glaze. That's the current Mix-ability Challenge this week  (MIX16) on Splitcoast Stampers. Here's my mix  for the challenge. I've not used it in a while, but it makes the best quick glaze for glitter. Seriously quick. I dripped some Fast Finish Decoupage liquid on my craft mat and mixed in Cherry Pearl Glitter from Stampendous. I stirred it up with a skewer (that has some bubbly yet dry Beacon Zip Dry glue on the tip... you KNOW, I use up all the glue in the jar friends) and then scribbled it onto the apples  from Teacher's Count and the  loopy frame from On Occasion Verve Stamps.  Here's the supplies. Here's the mix'in. See that glitter and glaze? It's a quick finish in minutes! My card mix goes something like this. I stamped apples, loopy frame and sentiment from Verve Stamps on white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. The coordinating  Apples Die set...

Stampendous Tea Time anyone?

This week Stampendous is turning to the traditional high tea and have a ball using new images from the April 2013 catalog! Here's my tea time creation using the King teapot and Royal Insignia stamps. Jamie Martin created a beautiful card using the Queen Teapot image with no color as I did. These pots just sparkle on their own without any help from, dare I say, my markers. Ohp! I did say that didn't I?. Really these are elegant stamps a must for that British side of your stamping repertoire. How did I do it? You can go to the Stampendous Projects database to see all the details on my card and so many more wonderful samples from the design team. Details: Stamps:  Cling King Teapot , Cling Royal Insignia  (Stampendous) Paper: Sawdust, S'mores, Heather and Lilac paper (Bazzill Basics) Ink:  Watermark Ink Pad ( Tsukineko VersaMark ),  Tan Ink Pad (Ranger) Black Ink Pad (Ranger) Accessories:  Aged Wine Embossing Enamel ...
