Christmas Cards with Verve

A quick post from this absent blogger today. There has been a lot of running around and a fabulous week of crafting in my studio and last week I missed getting a few cards out to you.

I created a card class using some Verve oldies, but goodies for a local store and with the rush to get them to class I forgot to snap some singles of the cards. So here's one of the cards to talk about and then a photo-edited image of all the cards together.

The card uses the Christmas Blessings Plain Jane sentiment and the Merry and Bright Stamp Set with pattern paper from City Sidewalks paper pack by Pink Paislee, Colromates Deep Belgium Blue and Neenah Sundance Balsa papers. The tag is something I designed with my Pazzles as well and is tied with Cream Seam Binding ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine. The sentiment was stamped on a journaling card by We R Memory Keepers Grids. The bling is this great resin rhinestone that is easily cut with scissors or even your Crop-a-Dile.

One of the nicest ever things about these cards is that the shapes and layers were almost all cut out using my Pazzles machine? For the blue snowflake card above, I did create that scalloped shape on my Pazzles software and while I was doing up a bunch of them for the class, I realized all these shapes could be cut with my machine. What a time saver!

I'm going to give you a little plug here, go check out the Pazzles machine. I love the community and the support is wonderful! Take this link and I get a to know you found your new cutting machine here!

The class was such a great class we are doing it again in December! Go to Inspiration Boutique's calendar to sign up!

Princess for the Day

You know what? I use my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine all the time, but I rarely have time to take a snapshot of it and share it here. So this time I'm going to take the time and share my daughter's birthday invitation.

The crown and all it's layers are the same as the file I downloaded from Pazzles The Craftroom Library, but I did a little magic on the base layer.

I aligned the bottom of the crown to guide line and broke the line of the black shape at the intersection of the line.

I created a duplicate mirror image and then connected the nodes at the guide line.

The last thing I did was add a Kiss line so the card base would be easy to fold. The rest of the crown I duplicated one at a time by the color paper I had chosen and cut them out. While one set was cutting I glued together the others.

This is all done while I waited for my resin to dry from last weeks projects. :)

Verve Cards Machine Stamp Mail Style

I can get all caught up in my designs sometimes and not remember that the card IS going to be mailed at some point. That's when I opt for a second card for the mailing and hand-delivery for the embellishment rich first one. (For a little bit of information on the US mailing work of a blogging stamper go here. Rates have changed since the post, but the work to have accurate postage still applies.)

So here is a card that has all the fun, but no extra bulk in design.

I'll be creating this with a few wonderful ladies tonight in class at Inspiration Boutique! Yay, I can't wait for a night out with the ladies. See you soon!

Valentine Verve

It's time for a fun and notable Valentine for Share today. This card is a sweet and quick card with Verve's No Matter What set and it also has a fun cut file using my Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutter. Those spiral note paper layers were the result of enlarging and chopping a few cut lines from the original file and then I hand-scored with my Martha Stewart Score Board (which if I had the embossing tool for the Creative Cutter it would have all been done from my machine!)

If you're in the Treasure Valley and want a card like this you are in luck! Sign up for the Valentine Card Class at Inspiration Boutique in February!

If you want to know more about Copic Markers, there's a class for that, too!

I'll be back tomorrow with Stampendous and some of their NEW stamps and Essentials! Can't wait to show you!
