More New Goodies From Stampendous!

A sunny and flowery day here on my blog even though it may be cold outside! I thought it would be fun to share a little project that went together real quick AND it includes some new goodies from the Stampendous release. Meet my new small calendar for 2018! The Sunny Sketch 6 x 6 stamp is perfect to make one and it was quick because of all the great mixed media layers already in the stamp design. I stamped with waterproof/resistant black ink and used my watercolors (wow those are messy aren't they?) Then I went back over the dried image with some oxide inks and the NEW Quest Texture Cube. To add the year I brought out the NEW Brush Alphabet Lower Perfectly Clear Stamps Set. Now before I start in with the details of my project you'll want to stop by and see all the projects from this week! Make sure you stop by the Stampendous blog for details because all these new goodies are going to be available soon so grab them up! Thank you for stopping by today...

Poinsettia Are My Christmas Decor!

We are so close to Christmas break in our house. All that’s left are classroom parties, a chili potluck and caroling at the church and a Futsal (form of indoor soccer) game and then it’s vacation! Even though we are busy, I have decorated for Christmas, and I do take the time to sit and enjoy them. Though my tree is teddy bear theme, I have sprinkled fabulous red poinsettias around for decor. I just love them! When I saw this Poinsettia Wishes stamp set from Stampendous I was immediately in love. I loved the rustic or country look, so I made a red plaid monoprint background for it. I also wanted some shiny, so I used the Glitzy Adhesive technique by Fran at Stampendous. Take a look at this technique video with Fran. It is a super way to make a one of a kind sparkly project! With all the ideas from this video fresh on your mind, go grab all those Stampendous glitters you have and get to sticking them on a holiday project! More of the design team are sharing th...

Merry and Bright Week!

The sights and sounds of Christmas are making homes and towns merry and bright! Our house is slowly getting its transformation starting with the outside, but personally, I've been struggling with our Christmas tree. Literally struggling. Over the weekend I noticed the base of the tree, encased in a 4 x 4 to help the stand take hold of the trunk, was crooked, so I systematically adjusted the bolts and *crash*. Each of my family members came running towards me as they heard my cry for help. I'm okay but maybe not so much my ego. Anyway, you can tell I'm up to a theme here in my post, a project that promises to be merry and bright plus a little artsy! I have a stenciled watercolor card to share today with you that has a lot of merry and bright tinseling. To see all the details on my card just scroll down to the end of my post, but I don't want you to miss seeing ideas for more merry and bright projects from Stampendous and the design team.
