Rain Puddles Design

Verve stamps are my hobby heart throb right now. I am a busy mom and homemaker who just wants a bit of me time. Every once in a while I believe my craft room gets very lonely and wants me to spend some time in there. So, I am attempting to do all four Viva La Verve February sketches before the deadline this Friday, which apparently is now today. Here they are. Check out the gallery over at Splitcoaststampers .

My blog name, Rain Puddles Design, stems from a home business I've had for years. The type of business doesn't matter so much as the meaning behind the name. Rain puddles don't sound all that artsy. They aren't, however most artistic endeavors come from a feeling or memory inside you. My memory? I remember as a child running down to the corner of the block after a Colorado downpour and playing in the largest puddle of gutter rain possible. Sounds dirty, yes, but I just remember having the time of my life. It was care free and personal, so my designs are reflective of that. At least I hope they are to the people that receive them and hopefully to you, the viewers of this blog. I had an itch to make another cookie bouquet so I pulled one together for my MoPS group. I just set it on the snack table with a note that mentioned, "These Cookie Bouquets are not decorations. They are to be enjoyed." There was enough leftover that I rearranged them and gave them to my preschooler's teacher and faculty. They enjoyed them greatly!
