I have two sister's who both have birthday's in the same month. So, of course, I tend to miss them both as not to show favorites! LOL Here is one card that I put together for my sister who appreciates a good cheery Mary Engelbreit image. I love this little Birthday Zoe from DigiStamp Boutique . She comes with a stack of gifts to wish my sister many blessings for another year! Why have I not thought of this before???? I wanted to make the red card base embossed with polka dots but I made the size of the card too big to go through my Cuttlebug AND inside the embossing folder. I opened up the folder on my table, placed the card base over the debossing side and just rubbed my stylus over the areas that felt like the debossed spots. Just spiffy! Have a great evening! Hope you enjoy* This is my second post today demonstrating how I colored the pumpkin on the treat gift card from this post earlier today.   I'll let you all know that for the photos I started out with 6 images. That means you'll see certain colors magically grow and shrink from one picture to another. It shouldn't change how someone would color a pumpkin though, I just wanted to honest and clear about the photos.   When I color I first use the lightest color, something that I learned during classes in watercolor and colored pencils at college. Some people who use these markers and other brands start with the darkest color. I'm not sure that it matters, just be quick to get them blended so you won't have lines. Take a look at a photo or the real life object, in this case a pumpkin, to get an idea of the light areas and dark areas. This is figuring...

It's the last day of release week at InStyle Stamps with all the new images going live on the store later today, but for my post today I'll be sharing a Chloe image that released as a digital image in July. It's just perfect for this month. I put together a different kind of gift card. Instead of a plastic cash gift I packaged up my hubby's out of this world chocolate chip cookies in a glassine bag and attached it to a card. It's slightly larger than a business size envelope with all the fun embellishments of a card, but with a taste-y treat. If you want to try out my style of pumpkin coloring there will be another post today with tutorial Thought for the day: I needed to sharpen my edge punch in a bad way but was way too lazy to go get foil from the kitchen for sharpening it, so I saw my 2-inch wide foil tape and decided I'd use that instead. I'm working on Christmas cards and hoping to make enough to send to family and if I get any more done I'll be sending them out to some of my friends. That's if I don't come up with a bunch of homemade gifts to do for family. LOL Today I'm remembering moments of Christmas. I'm wondering how many out there have actually been kissed under a mistletoe? Legitimately, now? No chasing around the intended with arm raised high holding the infamous sprig of bush. I don't remember ever being in that position. Either by luck or by chase. LOL Here's a happy couple from DigiStamp Boutique, Marty and Matilda having an Xmas kiss moment under that mistletoe. Aren't they just adorable. I grabbed my color palette from the pattern paper and used my Prismacolor markers. Before I printed out I added a frame in PowerPoint and the sentiment in Leftovers font. A couple of weeks ago I was in my daughter's class for art mom duties and I helped make these adorable caramel apples. I started with some photos from the first day of class and then created the right sized apple and caramel shapes. So much fun and they had a blast! They glued caramel to the apple and then added some brown glitter glue to the top, but wait...they first added a picture of themselves to the front. Now isn't that sweet? awhhhhh. Have a great day! Thursday is my oldest sister's birthday. I don't have a great and perfect card to send her and I knew I wouldn't get one done in time, so this week I'm flooding her FB page with well wishes and calling her up to find out what she'll be doing on her day.
