Paper Craft Planet Sketch

Remember this little leaf falling mouse in my last post? Well, it's now the sample for Paper Craft Planet's sketch today!

Come join us for a fun little sketch to show off those larger stamps you have stashed away! I'm thinking this would even be great to showcase one of those dusty embossing folders that don't get use for the main focus of cards.

If you have House-Mouse Designs® images and want a challenge to play along with our sketch, go to this Challenge blog and link them up. This card was perfect for the current challenge "Transport"..

PaperCraft Planet Sketch Challenge sk062113

It's time for another challenge from me today. Whew! It's been so much fun to bring you all these goodies one right after another. It's like a progressive party except I'm the one doing all the courses. lol

Yep we've got a new sketch challenge that I'm hosting over on the PaperCraft Planet blog. Hope you join in with this one too. You can use up some of those scraps you've been saving for a rainy day.

I'm using some brand new stamps in my stash from Reverse Confetti. They've been waiting patiently to get inked up and it's just about time I finally did. Hopefully I'll have more chances to get them inky, but for now all I can say it WOW. They stamp like nothing else.

Details:
Stamps: Peacock Pretties and I Like You (Reverse Confetti)
Paper: Kraft (Hobby Lobby), scrap
Ink: Jet Black (Archival, Ranger)
Accessories: sewing machine, foam adhesive dots

Sweet colors and a Sweet Challenge or Two

Happy New Year everyone! It's time to return to this routine of posting some of my favorite things to do. I'm getting a bit of fun in with coloring these days. I've started teaching some basic classes in the Valley and well, I need to brush the dust off my markers and get back into the swing of things.

I made this card and decided to use it for the Paper Craft Planet Sketch challenge today, so I hope you'll pop on over there, say hi and grab the sketch. It's a sweet little sketch if I do say so myself. Tee-hee.

I'm posting for Stampendous today with a Kiddo Hop card. I really enjoyed getting back into the skin tones and I realized I haven't tested out those other fabulous combinations in a while, so that's where I'll be headed dusting off my markers. The Kiddos is the new challenge for January. Please join us every month and play along as much as you want using Stampendous products (bonus points for using them) and link up to join in the gallery fun.

I've made it even easier to link up your Kiddo! Just click the Felinius button and add your details!

I'm popping back in post publish to add my marker selection for the curious minded (click to enlarge).

Details:
Stamps: Kiddo Hop (Stampendous), Daisy Stem (Stampendous)
Paper: Core'dinations (yellow and red), Chap Scot (American Crafts)

CAS Christmas and a sketch

Hello, {echo - hello},

I have been missing in action for a while on my blog, I haven't been slacking off behind the scenes one bit though. I was working feverishly before the US Thanksgiving holiday on Stampendous catalog work, which you are going to FLIP when you see their new stamps and Essentials. I also decided to jump in on a holiday bazaar fundraiser for my son's school and ended up doing quite a bit of advertising work for it. I meant to drop in with some of the things I made, but I just didn't have the time to photograph and post about it. I'll see if I can give you some peeks this week. I'll be working on more items because I have the itch for another bazaar fundraiser, which my friend just so happens to know of one in a few weeks. Lucky me!

So I apologize for not sharing my creativity here on my blog. I hope I can get some photos up for you all to see. Some very cute, fun and non-paper projects. In the meantime, I'll share a CAS card I swirled together at my abandoned-no-more work table.

The month of December seems to be a mad rush of events, package shipping, decorating and then all the sudden I'm sitting around on December 26th with NO cards to send to my family and friends. When I came back to the work table to create a card with the Stampendous Challenge for December, I saw an email from Paper Craft Planet's Friday sketch. It was such a great match I'm combining them in this post.

All this month Stampendous and designers will be working up CAS Christmas cards for the challenge. You can find all the details in this post.

The sketch is from Super Nova, Deb Felts with a wow and surprising card sketch on Friday's blog post here. It's a skinny card that still fills up an A2 envelope (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches). I simply did a tent fold with a regular 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock and trimmed off an inch. Easy-peasy. Now I hope you'll join both of these fun challenges that will help you get through those last minute card making nights.

It feels good to be back into the papercrafting world again. See you back here real soon!

Details:
Stamps: Merriest Wish (Stampendous)
Paper: Handmade Holiday (Simple Stories), Kraft (Wausau), tracing paper, green and red scraps
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento, Tsukineko)
Accessories: Cloud Shape Scissors (Fiskar), red adhesive back rhinestone (KaiserCraft)

It's going to be a busy weekend! I've got some plans to steal away with some of my crafty friends to create some serious craftiness! Hee-heh! Well, I'm not packed yet and there's the enormous task of packing only what will fit in my Cropper Hopper, but I'm pretty excited about this first time adventure. I'll hopefully be back next week with some photos.

So why I'm posting this morning is because I've got a sketch challenge up for Paper Craft Planet. Here's my card and here's the link to go get the sketch and details for linking up in the Planet's gallery.

Paper Craft Planet has a new sketch today - sk081012

I'm hosting the sketch this week at Paper Craft Planet. I created a simple layout so it could be CAS or something to add on the extras.

I hope you'll join me and add to this week's challenge gallery. (When you upload to the Planet just add the tag "sk081012").

There's something a little bit brand spankin' new on my card today! It's a sneak peek from the Verve's Anni-Verve-sary Release on August 24, 2012. Come back next week though, so you can see more sneak peeks and spotlights!

This card was just missing a smidgen of blue when I saw the CR84FN #60 color challenge so I added some of those paper flowers I made a little bit ago. They can be quite addictive.

Details:
Stamps: Borderline Stamp Set (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Jubilee Designer Paper (K and Company), Cream and Parchment cardstock (Wausau), Perfect Plum cardstock (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Old Olive (Stampin' Up)
Accessories: Pennant Die (A Cut Above Die, Verve Stamps), Mini Bookplate die (A Cut Above Die, Verve Stamps), fibers (BambooSpun), rhinestones (American Crafts and Queens), quilting pins, glitter glue (Stickles, Ranger)
