Stampendous Flowers in the Mix



This week the Stampendous focus has been on flowers. We hope you've stopped to smell the roses as you've seen them. It seems just as soon as we see the flowers bloom they are gone, right? Well the best thing about stamps is that your flowers will always be in bloom.

Today I'm sharing Rain Flower from the House-Mouse Designs collection and it's also for the latest Mix-Ability challenge MIX105: Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.

First this stamp is PERFECT for the challenge and second the technique Lydia mentions is awesome, but I cheated out by using this PERFECT image for the challenge. Muzzy is just too cute not to use, right?

HMV14 House-Mouse® Rain Flower Stamp
SSC1213 Life Words Perfectly Clear Stamp Set
Versafine Onyx Black Ink by Tsukineko
SSH34 Small Perfectly Clear Acyrlic Handle

Plus:
Cardstock by Core'dinations®
Watercolor paper (smooth surface or hot press)
Zip-Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Grumbacher Watercolors
Paint brushes
Mini Stapler
Ribbon by May Arts®
Opaque White by Copic®
Sand-It Gadget by Core'dinations
Stylus

Instructions:



  1. Fold a 5 1/2 x 11 cardstock in half for a finished size of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square inch card base.
  2. Stamp Rain Flower with Onyx Black ink onto watercolor paper and color with watercolors.
  3. Stamp sentiment from Life Words.
  4. Wet edges around image and tear (optional).
  5. Glue image onto sanded cardstock and tie a bow with ribbon around lower edge.
  6. Staple a pendant over top of mat.
  7. Glue matted image to card base.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details .
