I'm seeing dots


Have you ever gone overboard on something and it be okay? Well today's card is a great example. The twist to September's first week of Viva La Verve is to use "little round things". I started out with rhinestones and eyelets and buttons to embellish this card, but once I got started with the scallop layers I had other things on my mind. Homemade Stickles! I remembered a tutorial from Julee over at Poetic Artistry where she used Crystal Effects and glitter to make Stickles. She dabbed on the mixture with a stylus to get that perfect round shape. Well that was the end of the easy way to embellish a card.



I worked and reworked on this card for a while and finally just decided it was late and I needed to get to bed. I think there are some areas that I would love to have had time to rework more but, this card is for a friend of mine who is getting out of the hospital on Friday.

(By the way, I've missed blogging and glad to be back. My last post I mentioned I'd show you my Verve Project Parade item and now have decided that my project didn't fit the theme, so I'm cooking up something else.)

Paper: Chocolate Chip, LSS Violet and Purple, Mohawk Smooth White
Ink: SU! Chocolate Chip, Lovely Lilac
Accessories: Coluzzle circle, SU! Circle and slot punches, hole punch, Offray Delphinium and Lavendar Torch grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds with MS gel adhesive, Cinnamon Stickles, clear EB, Cuttlebug Dots and Spots EF, Stardust Jelly Roll pen

    That is so pretty. The colors blend so well and the glitter gives it such a great look.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details .
