Verve Stamps October 2013 Spotlight Day 1

Can I get a big "whoop, whoop!" It's Spotlight Day with Verve Stamps! Come join us all the rest of the week for some fantastic sneak peeks! We'll have a full hop list every day to give you lots of ideas to use with your new Verve.

If you are in the know already then it's from Amber's blog you came and once your finished at my spot you'll take a stroll over to Andrea's blog. There is a list at the bottom of my post today so you can find out where you are in our hop or get started from the beginning. You have a chance to win, because Verve is so generous, so comment along the hops to have a proper chance at getting some new Verve goodies!

Today we are spotlighting the Chevron Love and Heart Quartet Die Set. Knock me silly and then give me dessert! This stamp set is top notch and the most gorgeous sentiments. Love the sentiments, but a super delight was this new jotted heart stamp to go with Verve's Jotted Heart die. Yep, now you've got more reasons to use that fun die. I had to use these sweet Heart Quartet Die Set on the card too. They are like confetti for your cards. Love these spotlights today.

So the quick of my card is using some K and Company Spotted Canary pattern paper as the base on some teal cardstock with a little chocolate paper tucked underneath for some fun. I layered a Verve Scallop Trio Trim die over the Award Banner Trim die from September release.

I stamped my chevron jotted heart on some Basic Grey Neutral pattern paper and cut it out with the Jotted Heart Die and tucked it under a Chevron Love sentiment that is cut out with the largest die from the Banner Bundle Die Set. You'll see this week that my sewing machine was out. :0) So I, stitched a zigzag on the tag and then glued the chevron butterfly from the Chevron Love set. The butterfly was clear embossed on the Sundance cardstock and then sponged over with Real Red, Only Orange and Tempting Turquoise and cut out with the large die from All Aflutter Die set.

Now the Heart Quartet die made it's first pass through my cutting machine on some Chocolate cardstock and popped up on foam adhesive here and there for a flowing fun card. I think that's it for this card. Jam packed with Verve goodness because this set scores big points for playing in the A Cut Above playground with older dies. Love that with Verve. Everything plays so nice with eachother.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster. LOL The two cards shown in the picture above use the latest Plain Jane release for Psalm 121:1-2 (hanging on box) and Hebrews 11:1 (in front of box). And I'll give the details below, but first here's a slide show of the whole year. Hebr...
