Etching Goodness with Stampendous

Today is the day for some new and exciting projects! I've got a very quick, simple and extraordinary project to show you for a super fun collaboration we are having with the Armour Products. This is something that I've never done before! It's just too easy not to try!


 Wow, was this ever easy! Laura warned us it was easy and addicting so you better watch out. Lots of fun and exciting projects are going to happen the rest of this week! Grab a bottle of the Armour Etch Cream and creative something!

The quick of this project is going through the steps below and then adding a sentiment onto the cardstock backing in the frame. Close up the frame with a cardboard shim and it's done! I suppose I could have stamped directly onto the glass with the sentiment, but I was afraid the shadow would make it hard to read.

Remember to start with a clean piece of glass, a great bold stamp design and wear protective gloves!

Stamps: Jumbo Cling Butterfly Trio (Stampendous), Thoughtful Wishes (Stampendous)
Paper: Olive cardstock scrap
Ink: watermark ink pad (Versamark, Tsukineko), Jet Black Archival (Ranger)
Accessories: Old frame from wedding reception picture removed

    What a great idea! I have never thought of etching a piece of glass from a frame and framing it! What an easy yet beautiful way to display etchings! Thanks for the inspiration! This is why I hop with Stampendous! all the time!

    How lovely! Etched glass in a frame. I like that you didn't stamp the sentiment on the glass. I think it adds dimension and almost like a shadow box effect...I'm glad u are all reminding me to wear gloves because I would easily forget! Thanks!

    How funny, I made an almost identical glass insert, except I have 3 butterflies :). I just couldn't figure out how to present it so the glass really stands out. You've just shown the perfect example that less can be more! Such an elegant project Janelle, now I just need to finish mine! Thanks for the inspiration x

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time.
