New Puddle (Craft) Jumper Day Post - Indy's Design

It's a NEW type of post not seen here before! I'm so excited to have my first Guest Puddle Jumper. A little something that I've been working up in my spare time. I decided once a month I would post about someone else and their fabulous style of crafting. So I managed over the summer to be on the look out for someone who to be the first guest. I'm so excited to introduce you to Debbie Owen's of Indy's Design
Indy came to my blog during the Stampendous Release Week Blog Hop and was the lucky winner of my blog giveaway. I was thrilled when she said she would love to share something over here in my crafting puddles! Now

RPD - So, your blogging name is Indy. Are you into car racing?
Indy - No, I never liked car racing, and I never went to an Indy 500 race.  My hubby gave me this nickname 20 years ago.  I was the first Hoosier he had ever met, so he started calling me Indy.
RPD - What part of your crafting do you enjoy the most?
Indy - I love being in my craft room where I can relax, listen to a book on CD or watch a movie, and enjoy some creative time.   I also love following blogs of amazing crafters, so I can be inspired, see new products, and learn new techniques!

RPD - What was your first Stampendous product?
Indy - My first Stampendous product was the Changito Pirates* Monkey.  I just love this monkey and now own several sets.  (Imagine how excited I was when I won the Changito Coffee stamp!)

RP
D - Any hidden receipts you'd like to confess?
Indy - Well, receipts aren't the problem...it's the packages arriving in the mail that usually get me in trouble!  LOL
SUNNY FLOWERS Perfectly Clear Stamps Set*
What a fantastic card using an iSpy sketch (I just happen to use that same one on a card too). The  sunflower stamp is signature on the layout and that Debbie fussy cut around it? You go girl!

RPD - Is there anything you want to tell us about you and your passion in life?
Indy -   I am a third grade teacher and am in the process of getting my classroom set up for the first day of school.  I love spending time with my hubby--playing games, going camping, taking walks, relaxing in the hot tub!  I have a 16 month old kitten named Catapult that always brightens my day with her crazy antics.  I'm addicted to card making and buying supplies--especially stamps!  If only my paycheck could keep up with my wish list!
Indy didn't mention she has a craft of a different flavor. She has come across a bounty of empty CapriSun drink pouches and turns them into the coolest bags! You need to go over to her blog and take a look at them. The yellow handled bag is my favvy flavor!

Indy sent over this project that she couldn't resist. She came across those packages of mini composition notebooks at a great price and has crafted a new cover on one of them. Don't you think this would be great for a teacher gift? She has used the Stampendous Dream Text stamp for a quick and easy pattern paper and another set called Clipboard Bracket to nicely frame that sentiment. Great colors and those embellishments are perfect.

It's been such a great time getting to know Debbie at Indys Designs.
Thank You for coming over and sharing with my puddle pals!

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster. LOL The two cards shown in the picture above use the latest Plain Jane release for Psalm 121:1-2 (hanging on box) and Hebrews 11:1 (in front of box). And I'll give the details below, but first here's a slide show of the whole year. Hebr...
