A to Z Magnets

Good morning! I'm sharing the last craft for our MOPS group this year. We spent the year learning all the different aspects of being a mom... from A to Z so to speak. Our group had some wood letters from an inherited craft project this past year and we were brain frozen on what to do with them. My crafty assistant, Lori, came up with a great idea to turn them into magnets! We offered different kinds of flowers and leaves, but for the minimalist option we had ribbon to wrap once or twice around the letter and tie in a bow. Have a great day everyone! CAS Monday Cards and Event Show and Tell

Good Monday everyone! It's been a long time since I've sat down at my computer to type up a post, but I've remained super busy. We have 4 more days of school, two programs in one night in the same building (easy night) and a park and picnic day on the same day. That's my kids schedule and in addition I'm pulling together all the leftover supplies from the year of MOPS crafts and creating kits for anyone to buy at our meeting this week. So I'm working round and round to keep up. The event that I've been working on for the last two months was finally here this last weekend and it was wonderful. Since my blog is mainly about paper crafts I don't get to show much of my other kinds of creations, but I'll make an exception today and show the logo design and some of the event items. We coordinated the program and name tags in color but I used a simple frame instead of the filigree background of the logo. Now on to my CAS cards for today. I've...

Busy, busy, busy

Where, oh where, oh where has Janelle been? Among other projects, one that's been keeping me uber busy this last week is with my my churches women's ministry committee. We are at the last few stages of our event planning and preparation, so it's time for elbow grease and great chats! We wanted to do something special for the ladies who will be attending and here is the sneak peek. I have pieces and parts, some assembled, to 150 journals in my craft room as we speak. Five ladies have been dropping in to my craft room to work on this project and we are almost done! But when they are away... I must play! Since I've got my mind wrapped in journal assembly I had to make use of the scraps leftover, so I made a few notepads. Aren't these darling! They are just perfect for the zipper section of your purse, or they'll fit in your pocket. Just pull out a pen and jot down whatever you want. I have enough scraps to make about 300 notepads, but I don't thi...

I've Got April Mojo Cards

Happy Thursday everyone!  April will be over in just three days and then we can practically blink to get through the month of May. This month has just gone by so fast that I can't believe it. I wanted to write up a little post, which you know me and my short posts, so it really will be as little as possible on words but big on projects. I had two other cards created for the Verve release this month, but didn't get them done in time for the Spotlight Hop week. A third card to play more those awesome Verve flowers from Love Deepens set. This is my Shabby Bloom and Grow card that hidden somewhere is the Mojo 185 sketch. Look real close...it's really there. A Handmade (as in name of the designer paper) Called Blessed card that I used the Mojo 186 sketch. I've got a theme going here! My Hello Friend card is hiding Mojo 187 sketch in it somewhere. Yep, it's another squinter. Hey, I just realized I've done almost all of the Mojo sketches for the month ...

Enjoy Today with Flowers

It's been a bit busy around here in the craft room, but I've been tagged to my computer instead of my crafting table with all my new Verve. You'll be seeing a repeat today if you were at the release party last Friday night. It's a bright and cheery card, that was pretty easy to put together. I love those floral circle dies because they aren't just scallop or plain circles, they have a whimsy to them that make it easy to use for flowers are a layered mat. That's it for now... thanks for stopping in today! Details: Stamps: Bloom and Grow (Verve), Hope Blooms (Verve),   Chicks Rule (Verve), Woodgrain (Hero Arts) Ink: VersaMark, Colonial White (CTMH), Cocoa Bean (CTMH) Paper: Early Espresso and Chocolate Chip (Stampin’ Up), Kraft text paper (Wausau), scraps of colorful paper Accessories: Floral Circles Die (Verve), Elegant Leaves die (Verve), Flutterby die ( Verve ), Ancient Enchanted Gold Embossing Powder (Ranger), Forest Branches Embossing Folde...

Hope and Love - Verve Spotlight Day 4

It's been 4 fabulous days of sneak peeks and it's all wrapping up today! I'll get through the deets super fast , as my 3 year old son would say, so that you can get on a hopping through mine.  Let's see. Hop Comment (each day has a hidden prize for the Spotlights featured that day... "FREE VERVE" ladies and gents) PARTY 9pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 7pm Mountain, 6pm Pacific and 3pm Hawaii. (I personally think it's the best part of release week once the Spotlight Hops are over. *wink*) Two cards to show for the spotlight stamps and die set today. The first has Proverbs 16:9 Plain Jane verse. Such an amazing verse. The second card uses the flowers and one of the fantastic sentiments from today's Spotlight set Hope Blooms (another favorite from this release), but I couldn't leave it alone without adding a few leaf branches from the Bloom and Grow set. Have a grand time on the rest of the hop! (If you've just found this...

Love Deepens - M is for Mom - Spotlight Day 3

Today's stamp set sneaky peek is the black dress, IMHO, of this release. You'll know what I mean when you come to the release party on Friday night ( April 15th, 9PM Eastern, 8PM Central, 7PM Mountain, 6PM Pacific, 3PM Hawaii ) and see it for yourself. {wink} I used two stamps out of the Love Deepens set for my split sentiment and that muslin fabric flower is made with the Floral Circles dies (about 3 of each size in the set), the leaves are from the Bloom and Grow set that was on spotlight yesterday. 1.
