Verve Release Day with one more Spotlight

Yay! It's release day and all the sneak peeks are available at the  Verve Store ! Before you start loading your shopping card we have one more day of spotlights for you and it's all about the weather,  the  Rain or Shine set and some fabulous new  Autumn Elements Ribbon Collection . My card today is a cheerful note on a dreary day! I love this sentiment and well of course all the sentiment's in this set really. I'm particularly fond of the umbrella options in this set as well. To make it look as dreary as a raining sky can look, I used the challenge today in the Mix-Ability forum on Splitcoaststampers. I just happen to be the hostess today and I'm using a texture technique with tissue paper  if you want to come join us. You can come stand under my Vervey umbrella today and enjoy the new release! Have fun shopping! 1.  Julee 7.  Amber 2.  Teresa 8.  Laurie W. 3.  Charmaine 9.  Christyne 4.  Stacey  ...

Verve Stamps September Release is tomorrow and a Spotlight not to miss

This is the day I have been waiting for all week. It's the day before release day and what a fantastic way to get ready then a walk through a beautiful array of Verve Poppies. Our Diva spotlights are focused on Poppy Birthday set and Build a Poppy Die Set . Have you enjoyed our hop days? It's been so much fun to show off some of the fantastic new Verve that will be available in only a few short hours. Sqeeee! I held nothing back on this card. I used everything I could with from the Poppy Birthday and coordinating dies and it just doesn't look like I did hardly at all! lol I stamped flower petals, leaves and anthers. I even used some solid stamps to create creamy clouds as a frame to one of the sentiments in the set. The Build a Poppy Die Set is the bomb. I've got some serious usage tagged on to the die set. It's all going to be good. That's all for today in my crafty puddle. It's time to stroll on over to Diva Laurie's blog and see what m...

Verve Stamps Spotlight Day 3

It's a robot mania day for our Spotlight. You'll be seeing the new Birthday Bots set with Metal Mix and Pastel Sequins through our hop today. If you thought yesterday's robot was adorable, the set being sneaked today will have you doing the robot in your front living room! There are adorable and whimsical little guys and gal bots. If you've hopped from Marisa's blog then you've made it to the next hop just fine and I bet you could use another dose of bot love, right? I'm sporting another sketch today from Splitcoaststampers SC455  so I could show off this adorable little birthday bot boy from Birthday Bots . He's colored with Copic markers and cut out so he can be popped up on the main panel of the sketch. A banner sentiment is flying by him with a sentiment from the same set and using another die from the Flag It Die Set . There is another peek, Award Banner Trim die , on my card today that is sure to be a hit accent on any project. Okay,...

Falling Leaves are starting to happen

Today it rained a steady drizzle. It was quiet and peaceful and I was thinking about my family in Colorado. All the devastation of the recent floods and my family was spared. I'm so very thankful today for that, but it also leaves my heart heavy for the long road to rebuilding many communities back together along the floods path. I hope friendships are created and strengthened through the process when so much loss has occurred. My prayers are with that area of Colorado so dear to my heart. I created this card a while back for the Stampendous July Catalog and somehow it was hidden in my filing until just last week. It's using the gorgeous Jumbo Leaves Stamp Set and Kind Friendship Stamp . A fun easy technique is used with the double-sided adhesive sheets , some glass glitter and embossing powder on the sentiment layer. Here's a little step by step photo of my process. Verve Stamps Spotlight Hop Day 2

We're back with Day 2 of Spotlights and the Divas are shining our spotlight on the Geared Up set and Award Banner Die .  To keep it easy on us all we've kept almost the same line up for the hop and as yesterday you came from Marisa's blog with her sneak peek. If you want to get through all the hop from the beginning just head on over to Julee's blog , that's where it all starts up every day. If you've seen the other Diva samples you KNOW that this is one terrifically cute set and I was all geared up to create a sweet little birthday card, but you know how the winds of creativity can change and *poof* I created an "old man" card. LOL So, can you just see that sweet robot colored super shiny for your son's single-digit birthday card and then as he gets older you could rot out the color for an old rusty robot. Ha, ha. That would be a set of cards to keep and scrapbook! Anyway, it was really easy to start since I had the Mojo 312 sketch ...
