This week Stampendous is in Vegas at Creative Painting Convention, but since the team is not able to attend with thought we could share some of our paint and stamp projects. I used the No-Line Coloring Technique that I've learned from the tutorial over on Splitcoaststampers. I used acrylic paints over the stamped  Jumbo Cling Moray Dahlia   and boy did I ever use a lot of layers on those petals. LOL Honesty. This was time consuming. I haven't painted with acrylics since college and with it being my first time trying the new technique on Splitcoaststampers I wasn't moving very fast. LOL Anyway, the idea for this week is to create with stamps plus paint. At Creative Paint you'll find all sorts of fun painting classes in Acrylics, Oil and miscellaneous mediums, but acrylic is what I have here at home so that's what I decided to try out.  Any image will do, but if you happen to have Stampendous Jumbo stamps like the Moray Dahlia stamp I used for my car...

It's a lovely Sunday day and I'm at the computer looking through my project photos on my camera and realize I've left a few from you! Isn't that awesome! I've been on the shy side of posting since my surgery last summer so I just assumed that I had nothing left to post for the month. What a nice surprise for me, too! I wanted my kids to give their teachers a little more sweetness in a card than in food, so I grabbed some of Verve's lovely Valentine sets. These were the easiest cards to through together. I was so excited to be able to finish both of them in just an hour. That's considered a miracle in my studio.   Happy Friday! Today we are hopping altogether with a big wow! Have we got some wonderful projects to show you today. I'm kind of excited to see them myself. If you feel a little deja-vu, yes you're here again, my Thursday post is in our hop as well! My card today was created with Stampendous Glance and Vintage Press stamps. Coloring is done with STAEDTLER 's Aquarelle pencils, soft pastel, wax crayon and colored pencils. When applicable I blended with an aqua pen. There have been lots of fun new ribbon from May Arts that I have loved to just hold and run through my fingers, so it can be hard to cut into, but it was worth the trims to complete this card. I loved having the chance to color this bouquet from Stampendous with my Copic markers even though I lack the coloring ability to do water through glass. Stampendous and a printing plate! That's BIG news. It's been a hot off the press level around my house and even my kids are having fun coming up with different fun prints to use in their crafting. This week Stampendous and the Design Team have been focusing on how we used the new Creative Palette Monoprinting Plate into our existing papercrafting. Here is a sample that I created with the use of acrylic paints, a brayer, bubble wrap, and paintbrush to make a first impression print for the background paper. The only thing I added onto the background are the sentiment from Say It Today Stamp Set and brown bubble wrap from the new N*Studio Line of stamps called Grunge . I impressed multiple mono prints on one page to get deeper layers of color in the background. And it's also fun to refresh the plate (using a spray of rubbing alcohol) and get a second print which is more pastel with less paint as the first impression. They are never the same! It's a new Diva Dare over on the Verve Stamps blog . Get your mojo rolling with something to "Perk Up" someone. Today I'm sharing how I took the dare with this little coffee cup treat and what might be a redux on the DIY coffee sleeve or is it the "Design your own mug" insert. This cup is filled with K-cup® pods and long stir sticks and kept warm with a DIY pocket sleeve to keep the sentiments fresh every time you have a new cup. Hey, it's just another way to send those little sticky note reminders but using your crafting supplies. This week's Birgit is giving a heart challenge. Use them! Love those kinds of challenges.  Come join us with MIX54: HEARTS . I used the same paper for my base as  this card  a few weeks ago. I added stamped hearts in white, black and second off (stamp on a scrap paper first then onto your project) after brushing some green acrylic paint around  the edges and the sentiment. It's kind of a blur to the steps because I would stamp the small hearts, paint, stamp, paint and then add the tape.  The tape was chosen because I intended to use the  yummy new ribbon  from Verve, I had it all tied and pretty, but then my stamping was off and I would cover up the focal heart too much or the sentiment. So the ribbon is ready for another project. I'm already ahead of the game. It's always a creative process and I know I'm not alone. I've got this card in sync with a few challenges!
