Artist Trading Block Blog Hop is Here

It's a Block Hopping Day! If you've been hopping along with us already you've just come from Kristine Reynolds blog , welcome to my blog! I'm so glad you've stopped by to see my post today and wow what find if you were coming here without know about the Block Hop that's going on with Eileen Hull designed die cuts and the Inspiration Team.  My block today is inspired by the Stampendous packaging for the same stamp set I used, Andy Skinner's Nature set . I painted with DecoArt paints in Toffee and Butterscotch (funny I didn't realize I made a sweet base coat until writing this post) and stamped around the box using masks on the shed and one post end of the fence section. Hindsight? Paint the sky first then stamp is a better sequence because I ended up painting through the fence and doing touch up with a Faber-Castell PITT pen. Here's all the other side of it repeating the fence, adding a tree and a flock of birds. ...

This week the Stampendous Design Team is playing along with the Inspiration Team of Eileen Hull Designs and we're creating art on all side of a block! We've been sharing some designs from the Stampendous January Catalog using a box die designed by Eileen Hull for Sizzix. It's an amazing little crafty circle of fun, but here we are and having a grand time of it. See a full supply list with instructions at the bottom of this post, but to see a glimpse of some fun steps click on step by step photo below. We have prizes to go along with this "Block" Party! Three (3) winners will be randomly chosen from comments on all the blogs during our collaboration posts. Then from those three we’ll randomly pick a GRAND PRIZE winner! Two of the winners will receive Stampendous PenPattern Petal and PenPattern Flutter cling stamps. They’ll also receive enough pre-cut, premium matboard from Sizzix to make two boxes of your own, plus some extra pie...

Frilly and Fabulous Mixed Sentiments

I've been feeling a little mashed up lately with all the changes going on in my world, all good or at least they are normal, so it was the spark to my challenge this week as I host the Mix-Ability challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Sometimes you just can't find the right sentiment and you really need the one that just won't go away in your mind. So why not create your own, right? Now we can be challenge to figure out our stash of sentiments, alphabet stamps whether they are stencils, stamps, rub-ons, magazine cut-outs. Let's see how creative we can be. I have a lot of mashed-up parts to my card today, so when you look at the sentiment you're seeing only the MIX107 challenge . Here's what else is going on with this card. Stampendous has a weekly theme for their Swirls and Flourish stamps, so you will see a flourish in the Vintage Letter background stamp, and clear embossed Elegant Scroll in two of the corners. The Dreamweaver Dream Team challen...

Flourishes and Swirls United for Stampendous Theme Week

Swirls and flourishes never get their day in the spotlight, but not only their day but whole week has come! A few of us designers are sharing cards that use these delicious stamps in a way that show off the amazing designs.  So here's my wonderful little design. Seriously, I had no idea that this card was going to stun me the way that it did.  I'm working away on samples, as are the rest of the team, for the next catalog (you are NOT going to believe what's coming.....squeeeaaaa!) and I have a piece of monoprint leftover and decided I'd make a new card for my post today. I removed the static with one of those powder bags and just started stamping! What does one call those little magic powdery bags that isn't the brand name of another company product? Static Remover Sachet? lol Anyway, here's the project and instructions are below. Visit other blogs posting about the swirls and flourishes theme week. Missed Monday's post on the Stampend...
