Happy Friday all! Today I've got a mixed media card just to say hello! It's more than just a card it's a challenge day card! I'm hosting the Mix-Ability forum starting today, and I decided I'd let the weather get the better of me. It's drizzling rain in our part of the world instead of snowing so we will drizzle something onto a background for the challenge! For my card, I did two drizzles! I made a stencil with hot glue drizzled onto a craft mat and then sprayed my stamped background paper with instant coffee. The second drizzle was a silver glue stick drizzled as a border on the card background. I hope you'll come and join us in the Mix-Ability forum at Splitcoaststampers!   We are so close to Christmas break in our house. All that’s left are classroom parties, a chili potluck and caroling at the church and a Futsal (form of indoor soccer) game and then it’s vacation! Even though we are busy, I have decorated for Christmas, and I do take the time to sit and enjoy them. Though my tree is teddy bear theme, I have sprinkled fabulous red poinsettias around for decor. I just love them! When I saw this Poinsettia Wishes stamp set from Stampendous I was immediately in love. I loved the rustic or country look, so I made a red plaid monoprint background for it. I'm back this week with another project in the 31 Days of Halloween Hop with Stampendous !  Last week I used this stamp set to create a background card with a hint of Halloween -- check it out  here . Oh, do we have a little surprise today for an amazingly sweet and generous lady. It is our Design Team Coordinator, that's only one of the many amazing things she does at Stampendous, Laura Weed's birthday! Dude, it's a vacation at the beach today! Well it is on my blog anyway! Thickers stickers carefully heat embossed with Sandy embossing powder! My family had a spontaneous trip last July to the Oregon coast. A first for my kids and even more rare is that I made a scrapbook page for it! Check it out and then  Perfect pattern paper with embossed seashells. Lots of shells were found and even a crawfish? Welcome to my blog today with a project for this Christmas Eve Day. The designers at Stampendous are sharing some Inspirational projects this week.  My card today uses the Ribbon Bird and Unto Us stamps as the main focus, but there is so much more on this card that I'll list below. Last week I shared a card that used "Believe" on it and was meant to share the irony we sometimes fall into in preparing for this holiday. We can get ourselves caught in the worldly use of presents, parties and forget the humble offering that changed the world. Today's card is my comfort for the true meaning of why my family celebrates Christmas. I hope you enjoy the art of this card.
