April Showers

Rain is part of spring and the old saying April showers bring May flowers is certain to ring true this year for my neighborhood. It's going to be a colorful May for us! All this talk about rain is because I'm on my blog today with a sweet little stamp I received from Stampendous to make this card for their catalog. I really enjoyed creating the shadows and highlights in the leaves for this House-Mouse Designs Rainfall Shelter stamp. If you are curious about any part of it read on for a supply list and instructions! There is more from Stampendous and a few of my design teammates! Stampendous Blog Pam Bray Janelle Stollfus - you are here! Have Faith and Use Unusual Borders

Hello and a heartfelt Good Friday to all of you celebrating Easter weekend! I have a fun challenge to share today with considerable flexibility to your own style! I'm hosting the Splitcoaststampers Mix-Ability weekly challenge this time around, and I've decided to focus on borders. You can find the details at MIX220: Unusual Borders  on Splitcoaststampers, but for my card, I'll tell you that I've been stuck lately with a straight edge or cut edge borders on my projects. I love straight clean edges, but I decided I wanted to step out of a comfort zone and see if I could be creative with my choices. So for my out of box choices I searched the Splitcoaststampers Tutorials! I wanted to try hot glue gun borders, and there's a tutorial for hot glue gun embossing. The other choice was to use a repeating sentiment or phrase somewhere as a straight border. It was pretty easy with the Stampendous Cling Unexplained Stamp Set designed by Andy Skinner. ...

New Babies to Love and Grandparents

Happy Grandparents Day... way late or way early, it falls on September 10th this year though so I'm going to say it's early! I found a card I made a while ago that I haven't posted here and it's just too cute not to share. It's a really sweet baby card that might do well to surprise your parents with a baby announcement. Color the baby clothes in particular colors, and you have a gender reveal, too! There is a sweet little theme this week on the Stampendous blog that you can go see to be inspired with new stamps for baby themed projects. Here is a week of links, being Thursday you'll want to come back tomorrow for the last day. Monday Stampendous Blog Kristine Reynolds Wednesday Stampendous Blog Louise Healy Jamie Martin Friday Stampendous Blog Louise Healy Janelle Stollfus Here's how I made the card and thanks for stopping by my blog today! Contain Spring in Pretty Little Packages

Everything is turning green and lots of outdoor activities are happening around our house and the Stampendous team is also getting into the swing of spring with a clever theme to share whatever contains spring! My project today is a fun circle card with some pretty peonies in a black vase. It was SO FUN to make. I loved the challenge of making the vase dark instead of light and springlike. I think it helps make those flowers pop! You can find all the supplies and instructions for my card on the Stampendous website and then keep hopping through our inspiration chain below!
