Stampendous and Creative Impressions

Happy Monday, crafters! I'm stopping in for a quick post to share with the Stampendous Design Team for a House-Mouse in merry preparations for the holidays! My card today uses  House-Mouse® Snow Cap Nap  and some sparkly silver ribbon by Creative Impressions. Creative Impressions carries some pretty nice ribbon that the design team has been using for a few catalog releases. A shout out to them for sending us such a great array of ribbons. The background is made with a Dreamweaver Stencil called Bricks  which is going to be a lot of fun to use in future House-Mouse backgrounds. Have fun on the rest of the hop with these other stops and we'll see you again later this week with more House-Mouse projects. Dynamic Duos for Doodling or Watercoloring

Hello and a wonderful Wednesday to all! This week Stampendous is sharing all things stencils. They have some pretty amazing metal stencils and even more a new idea in stenciling with Stencil Duos. I decided to challenge myself to go outside of the box with my Decorated Tree Stencil Duo Set and even include stencils from the other sets as well. I've very tickled about the outcome! Let me show you what I made with a few step out photos. I cut a piece of watercolor paper the size needed and slightly smaller than the card base, for this project it was 4 x 5-1/4 inches, and taped it down around all edges. (not shown) Tape the open tree stencil down and with my Zig Art & Graphic Twin Markers made sweeps of Emerald Green and Light Green color. Not shown. Remove the stencil and watercolor with Pentel Aquash Water Pen. Let dry or use an Embossing Heat Tool for a quick dry.  Tape the patterned stencil over the tree and with markers brush different circles with co...

Stampendous Pink Your Life Finale Blog Hop

Welcome back to the hop with Pink Your Life stamps from Stampendous! Hope you're in for some Pink Your Life cuteness because I did my best to bring it out in my project today. My card today is using the Whisper Garden Perfectly Clear Set by Stampendous  and two types of watercolors plus white acrylic paint for splatters. I stamped in waterproof ink and began coloring with Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils because I did have pencil legs to color, right? I went back with my Winsor and Newton Watercolor Markers. I really do love the intense color from these markers, but to have them play nice with the pencils I scribbled them off on a Perfectly Clear Acrylic Stamp Handle and used an aqua pen. The process was repeated with a leaf background and then on both of the watercolor panels I splattered white paint that was watered down with a squirt of water, I was careful not to splatter onto the image, but it was pretty easy to quickly wipe up when I did. I hope you...

These sets are going to be extremely versatile anytime I want to add stamping to my notes or when I decide to get out my paints and bible journal, I can't wait to spend time with them again.
