Details and deadlines can be found on the Stampendous blog. My card was made using the no line coloring method with the Beautiful Braid stamp and watercolor markers by Winsor and Newton. Although they are markers, I still chose to use a water and brush to apply the color. Once done with Beautiful Braid, I masked off the image with rubber cement and applied watercolor with a wet sponge to through Dreamweaver Stencils Peacock Background stencil. It's Monday already! I'm back with a card I made for the Mix-Ability challenge , that my little ol' self is hostess on Splitcoaststampers. We are have some Faulty Fun for the week. If you want to have some fun with mixed media and use supplies you already have in your stash, we have the challenges for you. Go check out MIX156: Faulty Fun for a little creativity  incorporating a fault line that slides, shifts or slips in a project that includes 2 or more mediums.  My fault line happens to be the break of dawn in this mixed media card that uses three different coloring mediums, plus ink to stamp the image onto watercolor paper. It was so much fun to add spontaneous bits of color and m favorite are the light night lights on in the sky scraper and warehouse building. Happy Friday! I've been working behind the scenes all week and having tons of fun. I discovered a british company for mixed media that had this wonderful word that I had not heard before so I clicked away...masterboard...and not it's not the fire retardant wall board the US means when they say masterboard. Here's the video link, Introduction to Masterboards , to go check it out. Why do I tell you all this? Because I've used two masterboards for my mix-ability challenge card. So much exciting things happen when you make a masterboard and then cut them into pieces for card bases. Really you should try it with whatever mixed mediums you have on hand. Hi, I'm here today with a few LOVE-ly projects with too cute and too versatile stamps from Stampendous. I'll keep my chat short and give you links to where you can go check out the supplies and instructions. I made up this LOVE card with PenPattern Love , a monoprint in my stash and the hearts from Love Always Perfectly Clear Stamps Set . The super cool Fitted Frames are NEW from Stampendous and they are COOL. Two sets (A and B) of concentric frames in two packages that completely cover all the sizes of stamps that Stampendous makes. THAT IS soooooo COOL! Lastly, the card base was made by dry embossing the paper through my Evolution machine and then sponging with Curry ink while still taped to the Honeycomb Dreamweaver Stencil . Hello on a Sunday afternoon. I have a Mix-ability project finally completed in where I started Thursday amongst basketball practices, melt downs of my own imagining, dinner and art mom preps. In all of that busy schedule I watched a fascinating video from NOVA about the possible process Michelangelo went through to create the fresco paintings in the Sistine Chapel. No doubt it was meant to be because over on Splitcoaststampers is the new tutorial about Faux Fresco . The result of this video was an additional prep for demonstrating this in class with third graders.
