Easter Egg Theme with Stampendous

It's Easter Egg Hunt week with Stampendous and today I'm sharing along with some of my fellow design teamies to give you the hunt for some cute projects that can be done in a jiffy for Easter. I decided to make these little Egg Cup stands. At first I thought, "Oh, I can add cut a strip of paper across the bottom and they can be used for table place eggs." Nice thought until I cut the strip just from the paper between each stamped image. Good thought, I won't have to glue it on? What I'm really trying to say is I should have measured around a real egg to get the correct length strip. If you decided to make these sweet little egg cups, you now know what to change. :) These little chicks were photographed using my cell phone, because the battery charger for my real camera isn't charging it anymore. I'm impressed that it looks this good. My how phone camera's are improving. If you want instructions, please head on down towards the bottom o...

First Day of Spring Challenge

Today the Mix-Ability challenge is all about the First Day of Spring and to celebrate we are using colors, images or whatever we can come up with that would strike one as spring-like. I used Stampendous Blossom Bunch for those delicate first flowers of spring and to make it mix media worthy I cheated and used a monoprint as a background paper. It's really nice having those handy for such an occasion. The image is colored with Chameleon Alcohol Pens, to really make them pop for spring. The nice thing about these flowers is that they'll last a really long time! Join us for some mixed media fun on Splitcoaststampers this week! MIX112: First Day of Spring! Details: Stamps:   Blossom Bunch (Stampendous) Paper:  Mixed Media White Paper (Stampendous), cardstock (Core'dinations), sulphite white (Pacon) Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, (Tsukineko), Alcohol Pens (Chameleon Pens) Accessories:   Creative Palette (Stampendous), Ribbon (May Arts)

Welcome Home Treat Box

It's a wrap on the theme week for Stampendous' Home Sweet Home and I pulled this fun little treat box together because I just needed to get it out of my head! I saw this gable box die at a local scrapbook store in The Dalles called Urban Paper (THE SWEETEST owner, Jill, has such a fun shop) last weekend and knowing what this week's theme was I really wanted to create a welcome home box. You know, one that you could quickly put together as a gift for a new neighbor or even someone from your own family, especially when you don't have time to run out and grab something? It has a few houses with the lights out on it, but there is ONE that has all the lights on waiting to welcome you home. It's also sporting a popped up elevation for MariLynn's challenge on the Mix-Ability challenge this week, MIX110: Pop It Up! Here are the instructions to create this sweet little box. Supplies: From Stampendous: SSC1219 Family Home STF082 Versafine™ Onyx Black...
