Fall Fun for November

It's November. The bags are lining up along our garage as we start to rake up leaves and thinking of all those wonderful colors dropping to the ground.

Yeah, I'm partial to trees. I love the green or purple Ash in our yard, the red maple or the pin oak. All the leaves are just amazing when it's time for fall. So I'm getting my full enjoyment of fall by creating the Thankful Tree for our home this season.

I started out with a walk around the yard for some branches and then I sprayed them with gold paint and let them dry while I headed back to the studio to create some leaf notes. This is where it got entirely too fun!

I pulled out my Creative Palette.
CP811 Creative Palette

And a few or more DecoArt acrylic paints and my well loved brayer.

DecoArt Apple Green, Mistletoe, Red Violet, True Red, Cocoa Bean, Deep Burgundy, Spicy Mustard, Splendid Gold.

I have a dozen or more individual fall color monoprints now that I stamp the leaves from the Jumbo Cling Leaves Stamps Set in black ink and then embossed with Opaque Midnight Black Embossing Powder. The last step and one that will be going on for a few more days to have enough for the whole month is using the matching Leaves Die Cut Set.

I'm thankful for so many things, but for this post I'll say I'm thankful for a wonderful company like Stampendous.

There is more to see today from the design team, check it out here.

  1. Wonderful idea! When my granddaughter is here this week we are going to collect leaves and such on our mailbox walk so that we can do this!! I am going to get busy with my Creative Palette and cut out some leaves ahead of time so we can get right down to business!! Will also spray paint some limbs ahead of time!! Thanks for inspiring a craft that we can do together!! She is 3 and LOVES to stand on her stool next to me at my work island. She has her own "toolbox' that she uses to do whatever I am doing!! I cherish every second we are together!

WOW - your garden sounds GORGEOUS. We don't have many deciduous trees in our area but there are some regions that on my bucket list to visit and see their autumn display, top of the list is Bright in Northern Victoria.
