I'm hosting the sketch challenge with Viva La Verve and posting a little early to fit in all the fun projects I'll be showing throughout the day. So head on over to Splitcoaststampers' for the Verve sketch challenge forum
The background is an attempt to create a Gelli Plate style background paper. Kyra over at the Mix-Ability Challenge is asking us to start with BRIGHT colors and create a craftastrophe type scene. But then we get to fix it with toning down the color with white or black. Well, I almost did it right. I saw some Warm Grey acrylic paint in my stash that was begging to be added as my neutral... so I did. That also might note work out so well with my color scheme for the Play Date Cafe Challenge. See the challenge colors and mixed media challenge details and links below.

Eeek! So gorgeous, Janelle. I just love your craftastrophe. :) ... and the font for your blog post titles. What is that?
ReplyDeleteIt's called Lobster. I picked it out of the list in the Template > Customize > Advanced > Post Title section of Blogger. :)
DeleteJanelle, this is gorgeous! I love all the bright colors, and that pretty pale aqua ribbon. And, what a fab way to use a vertical stamp on a horizontal panel, covering one end with the bg paper. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful creation! Your mix media art is stunning. Thank you for playing along with The Play Date Cafe!
