Apple of A teacher's life

Trudy came up with a grand idea! Use glitter and add a layer of glaze. That's the current Mix-ability Challenge this week (MIX16) on Splitcoast Stampers.

Here's my mix for the challenge. I've not used it in a while, but it makes the best quick glaze for glitter. Seriously quick. I dripped some Fast Finish Decoupage liquid on my craft mat and mixed in Cherry Pearl Glitter from Stampendous. I stirred it up with a skewer (that has some bubbly yet dry Beacon Zip Dry glue on the tip... you KNOW, I use up all the glue in the jar friends) and then scribbled it onto the apples from Teacher's Count and the loopy frame from On Occasion Verve Stamps.

 Here's the supplies.

Here's the mix'in.

See that glitter and glaze? It's a quick finish in minutes!

My card mix goes something like this. I stamped apples, loopy frame and sentiment from Verve Stamps on white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. The coordinating Apples Die set was used to cut out the apples and Occasion Frame die for the loopy frame. Then I started the glittering step already covered above. The apple background paper was corner rounded as well as the card base and then it was all layered together with a blue polka dot pennant trim and polka dot ribbon (both from Verve).

I doodled a bit on the pattern paper to pull it all together for a fun teacher's thank you card. With just enough time to spare to hand deliver it.

Details:
Stamps:  Teacher's Count and On Occasion (Verve Stamps)
Paper: kraft (Hobby Lobby), white (Neenah), Apple Cheddar (Jillibean Soup)
