I colored him with Prismacolors and then on the lettering I went back over with a Violet colored pencil. For the first time I used a Prismacolor blender pencil and it worked just as I expected, blending the Violet pencil just as a marker would have done. The pencils approach helped get into the small channels of the letters that markers are just unable to get into for shading.
