February InStyle Stamps Sneak Peek Day 1

InStyle Stamp has some amazing new stamps releasing this Thursday and today is our first of two days of sneak peeks.

I have two images to show you today and I adore both of them and yes I had a blast coloring them.

Meet Drea. This little darling girl has a prayer in her heart and a happy song on her face. Don't you think so? I've been wanting to create bookmarks so I made this A2 size card perforated in the back to shed the side panels and make it into a bookmark.

Here's the back of the bookmark card. The  dry emboss ends where the perforation line is located. It's kind of hard to see in a photo, but it's there.

Details for Drea:
Stamps: InStyle Drea, Verve PJ 1Thess 5:17-18
Paper: LSS Blue, Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa, Mohawk Smooth White
Ink: LaserJet, Brocade Blue, Prismacolor Markers*
Accessories: Nestibilities Small Oval #6, Scallop Oval #6, Fancy Tags, SU! Scallop Trim Edge Punch, Cuttlebug Victoria EF

Prismacolor Details: Drea Hair - Deco Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Blender; Eyes - Blender, SkyBlue Light, Deco Blue; Skin - Eggshell, Brick Beige, Clay Rose; Shirt - Cerulean Blue, Periwinkle, Navy Blue; Pants - Mocha Light, Mocha Dark; Shoes - Warm Grey 50% and 90%

The second card was a dream to color. I'm not sure why I picked the colors but when I looked in my BoBunny Paper stash there was designer paper to match it. That doesn't happen for me very often.
Meet Lily. She's holding a cute new chick and I think he's in good care!

Now there are more sneak peeks to see. Head on over to InStyle Stamps Whimsical and Retro blog and see the list of other Design Team peeks.

The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster. LOL The two cards shown in the picture above use the latest Plain Jane release for Psalm 121:1-2 (hanging on box) and Hebrews 11:1 (in front of box). And I'll give the details below, but first here's a slide show of the whole year. Hebr...
