My inspiration is from this wonderful little Dreamweaver Stencil flower called Plumeria Crest. The fact that I have never seen a plumeria in real life almost makes this flower more intriguing to me. It's a favorite flower of mine. (Here's a photo of this beautiful flower.)
Now here is what I've created for today!
I started this colorful panel with the Pop Rectangle die and sponged Shabby Shutters and Shaded Lilac onto white cardstock. Then I added the Plumeria Crest with Pink Persimmon and let some of my sponging fall off the outside of the stencil edge. I liked the extra spot of color to go with the flowers.
The rest is just dressing with black paneled on both sides of the stenciled piece and some gray embellishments with a single shiny pennant.
Now let's see how the inspirations fell through Dreamweaver Stencils with the design team and some new members to the team.
and the Dreamweaver Team "newbies":
Details:
Stencils: LS45 Plumeria Crest (Dreamweaver Stencils), LJ929 Pop Rectangles (Dreamweaver Stencils)
Paper: Pewter (Wausau), White (Neenah), Black (Hobby Lobby)
Ink: Pink Persimmons, Shutters, Shaded Lilac (Tim Holtz Distress Ink)
Accessories: ribbon, twine, heart pendant, sponge
This is gorgeous! Love the colors and the design makes me think late 50's, early 60's, I guess it's the Pop Rectangles! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe real flowers are beautiful. One of my favorite places to visit (3 or more times a year) is Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. Have thousands of pictures from there.
ReplyDeleteYour card is an excellent capture of the real ones. Your card is simple but very elegant.
