Wrap It Up with Stampendous and Paper Mart

It's that time of the year when gifts of all sizes need some fun packaging and pretty designs, so Stampendous and the Design team created some ideas with products from PaperMart to show just how fun it can be for a paper crafter to wrap things up for the holidays with the tools they love to use!

Stop by the Stampendous blog today to get a full link list.

I used Versamark Watermark Ink on the Winter Blizzard 6 x 6-inch stamp and then pressed the PaperMart Kraft Pillow Box down on one side of the stamp, picked it up and off to the side sprinkled it with Stardust Embossing Powder and set it with a heat tool. I could see where there was still ink on the stamp and pressed the other side of the box onto the stamp and repeated the embossing steps. You can see a little bit of the sparkly in the closeup below.

Once that was done I sponged Pan Pastels over the box with light blue and white which made it look a bit vintage alongside the tinsel embossing.

The sentiment was stamped from Poinsettia Parts Perfectly Clear Stamp Set with Distress Oxide Broken China on Mixed Media White Paper. A couple of snowflakes were stamped from the Winter Blizzard Stamp in Distress Oxide Tattered Rose with a finish of the same color sponged around the edges to soften the bright white paper.

Add a small gift inside the pillow box, add the ribbon, tag and your wintry gift is ready to hand out.

Think of the different combinations you could make with a change to Gold Embossing Powder... red and green pastels!!! It's easy to do! For a place to start with the supplies just keep reading below.

Remember to stop by the Stampendous blog for more ideas!

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster. LOL The two cards shown in the picture above use the latest Plain Jane release for Psalm 121:1-2 (hanging on box) and Hebrews 11:1 (in front of box). And I'll give the details below, but first here's a slide show of the whole year. Hebr...
