All The Pretty New Borders

Hey, peeps! I'm dropping in a few projects using the Stampendous Spring Borders Die Set. A set of 6 dies that work fabulously together dozens of options from fanciful to subtle!

Here are a few projects using I've posted here on my blog, take the links for supplies and instructions, as well as a new project to upgrade a simple bow.

Stop by the Stampendous blog after you browse my new project. There will be more inspiration all this week that you won't want to miss!

Now for my quick bow picker upper idea! I added this bow to my box and thought it needed a something a little extra. I was delighted to remember that this ribbon border die was in the Spring Border set. All it took was three cuts and some glue, then stringing the ribbon through after I trimmed the border die to match up where the bow would be tied. That it!

Supplies: I provide some product links that are through my Amazon Affiliate, and that means when clicked and purchased in the same session a few pennies are sent my way at no cost to you.
  • Spring Borders Cutting Dies Set (AZSTM)
  • Ribbon by Creative Impressions
  • Box (AZ, Michael's)
Instructions:

This is customized to the box I made so you will need to make adjustments to fit your container.
  1. Measure the circumference of the box and cut cardstock with die as many needed to go around the box and overlap one ribbon loop for gluing together.
  2. Glue borders together end to end except the last outer ends.
  3. Wrap around the box and make a mark where the two ends meet. Cut so the ends mirror each other.
  4. Thread ribbon through and tie around the box.

  1. I love all the cards you made using the new dies, especially the mouse in the clover! The new dies really add a lot to the cards. The project which I must comment on is the gift box. The ribbon threader die is absolutely awesome for adding that extra special touch to a small gift.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster. LOL The two cards shown in the picture above use the latest Plain Jane release for Psalm 121:1-2 (hanging on box) and Hebrews 11:1 (in front of box). And I'll give the details below, but first here's a slide show of the whole year. Hebr...
