Sing Out Loud and Celebrate


Today I'm posting with some talented ladies from the Stampendous design team. We are strolling along the theme week, celebrating the season with House-Mouse Designs and more!

Here's my fun little card.

Supplies:

HMR38 Joyful Noise
MWP811 Fran’s Mixed Media White Paper
MEM01 Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink by Tsukineko®
DWLJ891 Holly Swirls Stencil
DWETLG Large Embossing Tool

Plus:
Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Chameleon™ Pens
Color Spritzer by Perfect Paper Crafting®
Ribbon by May Arts
Corner Rounder Punch
Paper Edge Distress Tool
Stylus
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives™

Instructions:


  1. Fold a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch color cardstock in half for a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch finished size.
  2. Place green cardstock over Holly Swirls Stencil and with  the large embossing tool run it over and around the stencil. Optionally you can emboss paper through an embossing machine, make sure to use the proper plate sandwich with you machine.
  3. Distress edges of embossed cardstock and tie a bow around it before adhering to card base.
  4. Stamp Joyful Noise onto white cardstock with black ink and color with Chameleon Pens.
  5. Mask image with frisket or by stamping image onto sticky edge of sticky notes and trim out image to place over colored image.
  6. Use the Color Spritzer for to spray blue marker onto unmasked area of image.
  7. Remove mask, round corners with punch and adhere to card.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster.
