Stampendous and Mixed Media in Paint


This week Stampendous is in Vegas at Creative Painting Convention, but since the team is not able to attend with thought we could share some of our paint and stamp projects.


 I used the No-Line Coloring Technique that I've learned from the tutorial over on Splitcoaststampers. I used acrylic paints over the stamped Jumbo Cling Moray Dahlia and boy did I ever use a lot of layers on those petals. LOL



Honesty. This was time consuming. I haven't painted with acrylics since college and with it being my first time trying the new technique on Splitcoaststampers I wasn't moving very fast. LOL

Anyway, the idea for this week is to create with stamps plus paint. At Creative Paint you'll find all sorts of fun painting classes in Acrylics, Oil and miscellaneous mediums, but acrylic is what I have here at home so that's what I decided to try out.  Any image will do, but if you happen to have Stampendous Jumbo stamps like the Moray Dahlia stamp I used for my card, then it is easier to paint... because it's so JUMBO!

The background pattern paper is handmade with the newest must have from Stampendous, the Creative Palette.

Paper: white (Mohawk ColorCopy98), mustard (Bazzill)
Ink: Acrylic paints, Blush Blossom (Stampin' Up)
Accessories: Creative Palette (Stampendous)

    Janelle! This is absolutely stunning. You are such an amazing artist. I love the effect of using the paint on the stamped image. Just amazing work!

      Thank you, Jen. I've seen this no-line coloring technique for a while and just decided to dive in. I love that you don't have to hand draw before painting, lol.

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old!
