New Month Challenge that's Earth Conscious

It's the first Saturday in April with a new Stampendous team challenge for you. In honor of Earth Day, we are challenging ourselves (and you) to make something that uses product(s) that are recycled, repurposed, or reused in some way. The possibilities are endless! Snazz up a household item and turn it into something beautiful, use something unexpected on your card, or even just use up some scraps you've had in your stash forever. We are opening the doors wide open on this challenge. So much that it could be called Anything Goes with Green Purpose" Challenge!

This month's challenge is really in line with what I've been collecting for a potential scrapbook project, but it's not my idea. It came from a mini album project I've seen everywhere using coffee drink sleeves. I've been collecting quite a few of these which I stash a few in my purse for those times when my drink is way too hot, but the extras come from when I see a friend getting ready to toss the whole latte, well I just grab it by the sleeve to save it. Oh the laughter...sorry.  I wrapped my card with a scrap of one sleeve, yep it's already been re-purposed once, that I cut in half.

The second part of my challenge is to use the window of a business envelope. Again, not my idea, I saw it in  the latest Art Journaling magazine. I brayer rolled the white windowed envelope with Ranger Faded Denim ink. I was surprised it looked like the grunge style paper that one would pay almost $1 to get while mine was nearly free! I cut out the window and used it as a frame for an awesome new stamp that is hitting the stores as we speak! Meet Phone Lady. (I love the detail that is on this image. Love it..) She's sending a message from another new set called Friendly Phrases. Keep an eye out for these at your local craft store or later this month on the Stampendous shop!

So, are you ready to see some more?  Here is the whole list of my fantastic teammates, who are sharing some fabulous inspiration with you today:

Let's Celebrate Plain Jane Style!

There is an Anni-Verve-Sary party going on today! Verve Stamp Company is 2 years old! The hop started at Verve's blog , so come hop on board and see over 5 dozen projects that are sure to get your Verve on! I've been waiting for the right time to blog about this project and when the opportunity came to join in the anniversary blog hop for Verve I knew it was time. My blog hop project today uses all Plain Jane Bible verses from Verve. I saw this project at Susan Roberts gallery on Splitcoaststampers and went to her blog to get the details . I decided to make one for my mother as a Christmas present...in 2008. Yep, I just now finished it and I have the blog hop to thank. Using sketches would have made this a whole lot faster. LOL The two cards shown in the picture above use the latest Plain Jane release for Psalm 121:1-2 (hanging on box) and Hebrews 11:1 (in front of box). And I'll give the details below, but first here's a slide show of the whole year. Hebr...
