Hello and welcome back to another day on the hop with Nat and Friends! We are putting our focus on Nathalie's new stamp and stencil sets this week and my hope is to show you all three and how I creativity use them.
First though, know that this is as usual a Stampendous hop, Monday through Friday and they have prizes for commenting along the way! Details are on the Stampendous blog!
I have been so inspired by all the journal pages from the Creative Squad featured on Nat's blog, pssst.... the Stampendous blog is sharing some previous projects of theirs each day until we get to see more great things from them on Friday. I decided I'd try a journal page again. Nat's Urban Scribble set made it super easy to get my idea down and then it took me forever to decide what to write! lol
My paints were DecoArt - Turquoise Blue, Butterscotch, and Royal Purple (tinted with Snow White). I used Snow White on its own with the solid side of the foam stamp.
The detail Cling Rubber Urban Scribble Stamp is inked with Versafine Onyx Black and heat set, because it will smear if you don't, trust me.
The scribbles are made with an impulse buy of Elmer's Paint Pens. They surprised me at how fast they dried on top of the paint. I just thought the city needed more greenscaping, so I added hanging pots, bushes and trees.
And then I made my journaling, because I often look up at the sky for a change of pace. I did it many times trying to think of what to write and then I just said, hey! I'll write what I'm doing.
I've used Urban Scribbles in another post here. I really enjoyed adding all the watercolor effects to the Cling Rubber stamped image and it would even be great to use with pattern paper and layer them over each other for a papercrafter's style card. I'll have to try that one next time. ;)
Now it's time to keep moving on in the hop today and I'll see you here again on Friday.
