Where's the catnip?

Today I'm making myself hungry, singing about my pocket and featuring a sweet kitty from Stampendous.

It's my turn to host the Mix-Ability Challenge and it's one that will make you sing. It did for me and I'm sure I can get you to at least hum once before the end of my post, but first a food.

For the US there is an official, non-important observance for a most delicious treat. It's National Doughnut Day! I'm sure if you stopped in to a popular doughnut establishment you might just get a free one with your coffee.

For very practical reasons all doughnuts, and bagels too, have a hole in the center. I bet it's to cook it faster, but I'm not for sure. Whatever its case this hole has given me inspiration for the MIX123 challenge, (warm up your wind pipes cause this is where you are going to hum at least) "There's a hole in my Project!" Whether intended or not our challenge is to add a hole into your project! If you want to step it up a notch you can also try your hand at making a beautiful oops, but to figure that out you'll need to head on over to the Mix-Ability forum and see the challenge entertainment video.

So are you singing this tune? "There's a hole in my pocket, my pocket, my pocket..."

For my card I created a monoprint with my Creative Palette Monoprinting Plate, trimmed and stitched it with black thread on my sewing machine. After that I glued it down on a white card base.

The bag was cut with Lawn Fawn's Goodie Bag die, but I only needed one side including the bottom flap and two edges of the bag. I stamped the fish bones with white acrylic paint onto the goodie bag and stamped the sentiment in black ink from the Cat Sayings Perfectly Clear Stamps Set.

Glue the bottom of the bag together, side flaps folded down first with the bottom flap glued last. Wrap black crochet thread around the the bag and tie in a bow. Glue onto the card base.

Stamp the kitty head from Cling Pop Up Kitties Stamp Set onto Mixed Media White Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color. Cut out with coordinating die from Pop Up Kitties Die Cut Set. Apply an Action Wobble onto the back of the head and then place inside the bag so the eyes peek through.

Done.
