Today starts the beginning of a week long partnership between Stampendous! and Action Wobble, Inc. They have the latest and easiest way to create motion on your layout or card. Well, anything really! So we are doing it up Stampendous style and having a hop every day this week with some fantastic prizes for you to grab! Details are below. (If you came from Mary's blog then you've come to the right spot on the hop!)
I created a long open sky card so that Changito Pilot could make a pass by today on our hop. Okay, I had more fun creating this card's detail than think for what occasion it might be sent, so you'll have to give me some ideas as to who would get this type of card.
If you want jump past the details of my card and a sweet little video, just scroll down and comment (for a chance to win today prize) then hop on over to Kristine's blog for more inspiration. :)
I picked up an old book called Spanning the Pacific by John Prentice Langley at the thrift shop a long time ago. I haven't read it, so I hope it isn't too glum, but one chapter is called "The Last Leg" and that's where this card took shape. I created the sky background with the pages from the book, tearing them up and gluing them down on copy paper I cut to the correct dimension. I let it dry and then trimmed it down to the copy paper size. Next was creating a border by measuring and taping around the edges with masking tape. I watered down some acrylic paint and made a cloud stencil from the leftover copy paper to create the sky color and cloud shapes.
So with a theme from the chapter "The Last Leg" and a happy banner-flying Changito, I felt I needed to finish off the story. Here's a video of Changito Pilot's Last Leg.
Here's who is playing today:
We'll randomly pick one of today's bloggers to pick a commenter at random for today's prize. That means you want to comment on each blogger's post today so you're entered the maximum number of times. If you wobble and comment today, you could win:
