New Month of Viva La Verve

Are you excited for the new month of Viva La Verve sketches!!!!!!

Amber has a sweet sketch this week and it has SOOOO much going for it that my card came together in a cinch. Here's Amber's details for the new month sketches.

Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check for the due date below!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but we love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!

For March, we'll have FOUR sketches! All FOUR cards must be uploaded to the VLVMar2012 gallery by midnight, CST on Thursday, March 29th to be eligible to win this month's prize! Winner will be announced on March 30th! GOOD LUCK!

Keywords for the entire month will be VLVMar2012 and Verve (if using Verve stamps).

See now isn't it a great sketch?

Here's what I did for this card. I pulled out an old new to me matstack called Hippie Chic. I love the swanky colors and needed some paper that would do the embellishing for me. And it sure did!

I stamped a Verve Small Phrases sentiment in Night of Navy. I think that ink pad is on its last breathe. I had to press pretty hard to get ink out of it. LOL  There's a few more stacks of cardstock on the sentiment mat because it was going so quickly for me I just thought I couldn't be almost done!

I punched out three circles and made reverse V cuts around it for petals. I sponged them and used the blunt end of my bone folder to curl the petals. One of them broke off *sigh*, so I just started folding and bending the rest to make it look like it was all planned out.

Have a terrific Friday and
