Making Art with Stampendous

Hello and happy Thursday. I'm stopping in today with a project that I've been dabbling on for a while and then all the sudden I had a reason to post it this week! I'm posting for the Stampendous Weekly theme for "Making Art", but there is also blog hop going on that I wouldn't want to leave out of my post today.

Stampendous and Spectrum Noir are "making art" all week and you're invited to hop along and enjoy the projects, comment when you so desire and just maybe you could win one of many prizes!

Check out the details to winning a full set of Spectrum Noir pencils on the Stampendous blog today or all this week AND there is also a chance to win some exciting and fun things on the Spectrum Noir blog! Don't miss out! Just click on the link list below and you'll get to all the places I've just mentioned.

Okay, here's my card for the theme this week.

Here's Painted Posies, a House-Mouse Designs® image that was released with Stampendous in October 2014. Darling image as it is, color always makes something look better!

I used a Spectrum Noir Core Essentials Set (sorry I don't think this set is available any longer, please browse the Spectrum Noir website to find their newest available sets) to color the image and when I was finished I went over shadow areas with a few colored pencils. I think I used every marker in that set and to get some lighter colors I blended tip to tip with the Blender marker. It worked fabulously!

When I was done with the coloring, having trimmed the image and matted it on brown cardstock, I embellished a few key areas with Stampendous Essentials.

Here I used Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere Fresh Green and Hunter Green Color Fragments into the grass line of the image.

To make this card a little sparkly I added China Blue Micro Glitter to the flower petals, brush and dripped paint on the rim of the jar.

I'm not officially a part of the hop this week, but I'm going to share the link list for today so that you can have some fun seeing more Stampendous!
