Stampendous Winners and an Artful card

Hello Everyone! What fabulous hops for the Stampendous Catalog Release last week! We’ve shown you all of our ideas on how to use some of the newest and greatest products from Stampendous. Hope you were inspired and ready to dive in with some new goodies you'll be getting soon. For some of you those goodies are prizes and I’ve got the LONG list of winners today.

Sorry about the delay in announcing my blog giveaway winner. I was a little mixed up in the schedule or just plain too excited to announce, but it's finally here! The winner from my blog had to comment on all three of my catalog posts during the week… so that lucky winner is…

With all the fantastic sentiments that Stampendous has in the new catalog we are going to be focusing on sentiments for the August Challenge. Wait? Isn't it still July? Yes you're right, but I get to jump the gun so you can all be the first or almost first to link up this coming Saturday when the new challenge hits the Stampendous blog. You have until Thursday to still get in on the July CITRUS color challenge.

A few fun items on my card today include the Follow Art stamp and various glitter from the Over the Rainbow kit. The glitter and flock in that kit are great because they are paired to match. Nothing makes it more hard to work with embellishments than when they don't match, right! Okay so the simple of this card was super fun. I stamped on watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black and let dry. Wet the entire surface and painted with acrylic wash. The black splatter is from a wet toothbrush filled with black wash acrylic paint. After that was dry I used my Quickie pen to make drops of glitter around the edges after I framed it with black cardstock. I penciled in some splatter marks and added glue from my Quickie pen only one splatter at a time going from dark to light with the glitter. It was a fun card to make.

That's it for my project today, but since I like giving people the good news, here are all the prize winners from last weeks Stampendous! Catalog Release week.

Cherish your family with wall decor using Stampendous!

Today is our big hop day for Stampendous Catalog Release Week! I hope you've enjoyed some of my samples as well as all of my talented friends on the design team. We have a wonderful array of samples to show. I know because we've all been sharing amongst ourselves because we are just that excited about today.

THREE of the bloggers today will be choosing a random commenter from their blog, and those lucky people will be announced on the Stampendous blog Tuesday, July 31 (please leave comments by Monday, July 30 at 11:59 PM PST). The more places you leave a comment, the better your chances are to win! Here's the three possible giveaways to drool over!

Here's my sample today. It was so much fun to make! I think it came together pretty fast, but honestly I was just so into it I enjoyed every step of the way.

The stamps I used were Cling Cherish Family, and Scrolled Medallion from the July catalog. The border stamp is from Jumbo Cling Amaryllis from a previous release. I used lots of fun Essentials like Hunter Color Fragments, Aged Gold Embossing Enamel, Gold Halo Glitter Mix and Aged Silver Embossing Enamel. The edges were distressed with a 6B woodless pencil because I did all of the embossing on a piece of tissue paper and that's how I marked out my edges. I added a few more to make it look like it was done on purpose, that's all. The blotches are Mushroom alcohol ink from Ranger that I was brushing from the top and bottom edges, but yeah, I had too much on my brush and started the drops. I made a few more around the canvas so that it would look on purpose. See, almost everything I do has an accident on it. The key is just turning it into a happy accident. LOL

So I'm sure I've left some information out of my description, but I'm sure you want to keep hopping! The full hop list is below but your next stop is the amazing lady herself, Wendy Price.

Taylor Usry  (has additional blog giveaway)

Why I love Kittens and Fishing Poles

because a feline's gotta fish! LOL Well, I really love them because Stampendous makes them adorable this summer with new images now available in stores near you or at their webstore! I'm sharing two cards today perfect for the trendy coloring style we all do for our homemade cards. Don't let that stop you if you're not of coloring mind, it's easy to use them on pattern paper for piecing or glitter and Fun Flock or... however you want!

My first card has Punkin Kitty and Autumn Words stamps. I colored with the popular Copic Markers and added some Prismacolor Pencils for some precise shading. I mean, when you mess up and want to cover it up, use colored pencils, right? lol I switched lids on my markers and picked up the darker YR for Punkin's head, so I lightened up with some colored pencils.

Fishing Kiddo is THE sweetest scene stamp for a masculine card! I'm usually hard pressed to finish off a card when it's just a character image, but this one makes it EASY to cover the whole card because it's already got a background included.

Now remember this week there are PRIZES, PRIZES, PRIZES! Comment on all the blogger's post today to win this fabby duo. The winner will be announced on the Stampendous blog tomorrow morning.

Making a comment on any or all of these blogs will provide you multiple chances to win the random drawing for today's prize

Stand to attention for Stampendous Essentials

Hey there crafting fans! Are you enjoying the Stampendous Release week so far? My project had two transformations and I can't wait to tell you about it. BUT FIRST, there are some details that you're going to like a lot ...

Giveaways!

Click image to see more details about what's new
in the catalog.
There are daily winners! Today's winner will get the prize pack shown above! Just comment on all the designers blogs for that day and and one of the bloggers will randomly choose a winner to announce the  next day. So keep hopping with us throughout the week for as many chances to win!

Some designers just want to share in the excitement of giveaways and you might happen on a blog each day that has blog candy. The winner will be notified by that blogger.

On Saturday we will have an all designer blog hop! Commenters on that day will have a chance to win one of three prizes!

Now here's my sample to share today. I mentioned that the card went through two transformations. The first is the most exciting for me. I LOVE to see images come to life through coloring.  So with this card I stamped Cling Glory to God and Cling Soldier Kiddo in Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I added card stock layers and some ribbon embellishments to complete the card. It looks pretty good doesn't it? I love the white space, but...

Now I want to show you the power play of Stampendous Essentials which is this cards second transformation.

With a small amount of patience and a piping hot heat gun, I heat embossed Aged Teal Embossing Enamel around the edges from the back side of the card (that's three layers of cardstock and no singe marks). I glued some Ochre Color Fragments to the center of the lace ribbon. See how fantastic the Stampendous Fran•táge technique using their Essentials can create WOW in minutes!

So, SURPRISE! I'm giving away some blog candy! Yea!!!!!

I've managed to collect multiples of Changito Coffee and Dream Text Cling Rubber Stamps and I'm willing share the Stampendous goodness! I've also included a trio of handmade flowers by me, mini clothespins and extra twine to finish off your project with a bow! To be eligible just comment on my blog the three days I'm posting for our Release week. I'll pick a winner with Random.org and contact by email Monday July 30, 2012!

Your next hop is Lea's blog. Have a great time!

I'm brimming with an idea over on the Verve Stamps blog!

Yippee! It's Friday!

I'm over on the Verve Blog today sharing my take on this month's Diva Dare Challenge. Why not hop on over and see all the details. It might just be something you want to add to your crafty time this weekend!

{From my post on Verve Stamps Blog} This birthday card is brimming with Verve goodness. I colored flowers from Feel the Sun Stamp Set with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. They are warming up next to A Cut Above Rounded Scallop Frame die and tagged with a tea cup and tag combo from the Cup of Life stamp set and the A Cut Above Tiny Sweet Scallop Tag die. The Happy Birthday wishes is from the Hope Blooms Stamp Set. I added some lace ribbon under the tea cup and across the band to complete the bag. Inside the bag is tea bag nestled in some tissue paper edge punched with a lace pattern. The insert is labeled with a tea bag tag and sentiment from the Cup of Life set. A little shaved ice sparkle around the band is the last touch on this challenge project. All the pattern paper is from Pretty Party paper pad by Crate Paper.

Here's a peek at the inside before you go...

Now for the whole view of my project today! Yay!

I found a frame magnet at Craft Warehouse on sale that I used for my "bezel". Since the frame was open in the center I cut out a circle just wide enough to reach the back of the frame, but not cover the magnets. I used my PITT artist Pen to trace a border on the circle, but made an oopsie mark, so I just repositioned the frame again and again creating many off center circles. Tip: Use a pencil first!

I stamped my sentiment and colored it with pastels, then glued it to the back of the frame giving it a day to thoroughly dry. I sprinkled Bronze Crushed Glass Glitter and Black Crushed Glass Glitter around the edges of the sentiment. When it was time to pour the resin I decided to add a butterfly with the same coloring and technique I had created on the frame sentiment. I sprinkled some Black Crushed Glass Glitter to the body of the butterfly and then Fran•táge with some Aged Black Embossing Enamel.  I painted the resin onto the front and back of the butterfly and let it cure on my craft mat. I poured, no I should say drizzled, resin over the glitter into the magnet frame in hopes that it wouldn't move much, then kept adding resin until it was filled to the interior of the frame opening.

That's it for my project. Hope you have a great time on the hop today. Now head on over the Jennifer's blog
