My card today is from the Guest Diva spot I had this month with Verve. What a wonderful time and experience I'll never forget.
The sentiment (Joy for the Journey) and banner mat (Charming Oval Die) are both from Verve's new spring release. For the March release Verve revealed three different die sets. The Charming Oval die set and the Charming Banner die set work wonderfully together and create so many different layers of mats for almost all of the phrases stamp sets in the store.
That's it from me today. Have a blessed day!

At the Gate
I have another bit of Verve to show today from the Verve Spring release last week. It's cute little Chaz from the Chicks Rule set. He is downright the coolest around, hanging out at the farm gate.
Open the gate and there's a coop ramp to fold down and add a personal message.
Chaz is colored with Prismacolor markers in a few striking colors. I stamped the sentiment and then traced around an oval Nestabilities die to create the callout with a little talk tail (is that what its called?)
I'm thinking this gate card should be a cutting file? What do you think? Any testers out there?
Details:
Stamps: Chicks Rule
Paper: Smooth White (Neenah), Kraft (?), Haute Red (Wausau)

Verve Spring New Release Spotlight - Day 2
Spotlight Day 2 has arrived and we're giving out some peeks for the Egg-stra Special set and the Charming Banner and Charming Oval dies. I've got a sweet little hunter gathering up some eggs to bring home the fabulous sentiments in this set. Seriously, how perfect is that sentiment! He is most certainly having an EGG - CELLENT adventure filling his basket with eggs. Those darling little eggs can be cut out with one of the dies in the Charming Oval set. Very cool indeedy!

Verve Spring New Release Spotlight - Day 1
Julee has used her signature typefaces to win me over on the Hope Perches Plain Jane I used for my card today. My card inspiration is Amber's sketch from week one of this months Viva La Verve Challenge. I planned to have the sentiment on a tag, but when I lined up the stamp to my tag it did quite fit so I stamped parts of it at a time. That meant bringing out the scotch tape and masking right on the stamp after inking it up. I tucked the first word, hope, under the rest of the verse and then in Creamy Caramel I stamped another hope from the Psalm 31:24 Plain Jane. Another happy accident on my card was thinking to add french knots to an otherwise lonely wavy-stitched line. I went to my bead stash and found the tiniest seed beeds to place inside three of the french knots as the trio element in the sketch. Hope you enjoyed my peak!
Okay, now it's time for more peaks! Have fun!

Just Poppin' In to say...
CELEBRATE!
I'm sharing a card with you today using a brand new stamp set and company that I came across in Splitcoast Stampers forum. The Ways to Use It Challenge moderator is Kim Hughes. I used that challenge a few weeks ago on this card, and well, I just went snooping around for inspiration and found out she has a new company. She has an enormous amount of talent and history in the paper crafting industry, as if most of us didn't already know her by name, but she's opened up her own online store called Paper Smooches! She is the creator of all the stamps too! These darling stamps are so perfect for CAS cards because they give you enough character on your project to do more with less.

A little RAK birthday goodness
I made this card a few weeks back for a FB call from Tiddly Inks. Christy asked if anyone would like to create a card to be mailed on to her college friend for a special birthday year. Well, I like RAK, but had never done a papercrafting one so I'm happy to say my RAK card is for someone I don't even know. Now that is a lot of fun!
Have a wonderful Friday and I'll be back next week with something from Paper Smooches (maybe).

Mojo Monday 180 - God is Good
My card today incorporates a few challenges I've had on my Want To Do list since the beginning of last week. The Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers challenged us to use black only when we stamped to make it look like a silhouette. I knew the flowers in Verve's Great Friend was the best fit for the job. I also found a fascinating challenge with the Technique Lover's Challenge, again at Splitcoast, to go Bargello (a wonderful design that looks like a watercolor quilt to me). I covered up most of the Bargello design with the Silhouette mat so you can't see it all.
The card is created with the Mojo Monday sketch #180 that was designed by Mojo Maker Mary Fish. Isn't it out of the box? I loved creating all the layers and fidgeting with where they looked the best. Between soccer in the backyard, dinner, bath time for the kids and bedtime, I do believe I've realized I need to walk away from a card a few times before I figure out what its suppose to look like.
No details today... because I'm in the mood to not talk so much... you're welcome {wink}.
I'm going to just let you know that I had to load up my Brilliance Graphite Black ink pad to get that solid black flower. I loaded too much ink to the pad and it ran out into the lines of the petals, sooooo I stamped the flower again and cut it out to cover it up. I'm all for full disclosure on how I fix my card mistakes.
Janelle
