Rocky's Family Sing
This is a card using Rocky and Family from DigiStamp Boutique. Today is the last day to get this image in the Offer of the Month.
I'm using this week's Mojo Monday sketch 154. I'm so glad I get email updates when those sketches come up, it's so nice. Rocky and Family are colored with my default Prismacolor Markers and you can't see it but I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the dots of snow in this image and cut it out with a circle Nestabilities die. I grabbed from my pile of leftover paper and believe me not, the paper matched my coloring almost exactly! The paper is from My Mind's Eye Bohemia pack and the cardstock is Wausau Royal Fiber in Chocolate and Blue. The blue cardstock is embossed with Kassie's Brocade folder by ProvoCraft and then I padded it with my Versamark pad to accept some chalk. I grabbed some old paper chalk and brushed the side of a blue and brown stick against the raised emboss and quickly rubbed it out for softness. What I found was that it felt like flocked paper! So cool, I hope to play with that technique some more. The sentiment was stamped with a word from Stampin' Up's flexible phrases and then the other letters using the Rough Alphabet set. It was punched out with a tag punch and framed with chocolate stock and cut along the bottom side with a Fiskars Corkscrew scissors. (I know I'm dipping into my kids craft tools again. Tisk, tisk, tisk.) I ran some scrap pieces of chocolate cardstock through the embossing folder and then cut it down to size for the photo corner. Some ribbon from my Offray Orange Cream spool and a clear button with a scrap of Bohemia adhered to the back of it with Glossy Effects and my card is done.
That's it for today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Molly Saver's Wallet
I have another InStyle Stamp project for you today, it's all about saving and organizing!
I've been trying to use coupons more lately and I just couldn't put the money down to buy the supplies for go all out...so I made a wallet to hold a shopping trip worth of coupons. I don't think it's made for storing coupons, but it sure would work nicely for that one trip to the store.
Now if I only knew what kind of sorting system I would want to use. What do you use? By aisle, alphabet, expiry date? I think I'm going to go by categories, but I'm not sure yet.
Molly is a digital and rubber stamp from InStyle Stamps. I used her for a tag on the closure of my coupon holder, a quick way to find it as I'm dashing out of the house to the store.
I've had a few inquiries to directions for this coupon holder and I will update this post when I complete a tutorial.
Tomorrow is the last Friday of the month and that means InStyle Stamps Design Team is going to have an awesome blog hop for you! InStyle has always rewarded hoppers with a prize for going through and spreading a little bit of comment love to the designers and then voting for your favorite designer project. The prize this month is an InStyle Stamps Goodie Bag, valued at $25!!!!!!!! Tomorrow at 10:00 AM ET start over at the ISS store blog and hop down the list leaving a comment at each designers blog. (I'm taking a change of pace with my designing and not participating in the hops for awhile, so you won't see my name on the blog list.)

Color Boldly!
Hello blogger friends!
I've got something to share with you today that's different than I've done before. I created a project from an article! Have you done that before? Just little ol' me getting bold with color! If you were to spend a little time with me you would soon find out that my personality is so very bold NOT. I can be a character sometimes, but mostly just a simple person who loves to be at home with my family.
Now this challenge was self staged you see, I am so thrilled to tell you that InStyle Stamps has given me the opportunity to contribute to their BRAND NEW NEWSLETTER! The article is on, you guessed it, coloring boldly!

Birthday in an Envelope
This is a post from last month that never made it live, so I'm sharing it now even though it's an image from July's Offer of the Month at DigiStamp Boutique.
I'm back today with an adorable DigiStamp Boutique image on an interactive card. I'm calling it a Birthday party in an envelope and you will soon see why!
Since my daughter's birthday this summer, I've been absorbed in her favorite colors. Pink, green and purple. "In that order", she would say, and so of course you'd guess that this card would have those three colors. How am I ever going to get this past her and in the mail to my niece????? LOL
I've been wanting some time to play with my birthday presents that I got over a month ago, and slowly I'm getting to each one.
Now what part of this card is interactive???? Well just pull out Tallulah from the "sleeping bag" envelope and she's ready to celebrate with a cupcake and balloon.
Details:
Stamps: DigiStamp Boutique Birthday Tallulah
Paper: Martha Stewart Pretty Pink Pack, LSS violet, Vellum, Neenah Classic Crest White, Pink Glitter paper, RAK pattern paper
Ink: LaserJet, Prismacolor Markers
Accessories: My Favorite Things banner day die and scallop die, EK Success Daisy Chain border punch, Quickutz Metro alphabet die, EK Success heart punch, Nestabilities oval and scallop oval, 1/4" hole punch, , Lemongrass Grosgrain ribbon, pink gingham ribbon, Cotton Candy Stickles, DMC Embroidery Floss

Just around the corner...
Hello everyone!
I apologize for being such a post-lackey lately. I've been changing around some of my life and trying to improve it a bit. You know the sleep and healthy eating are at the top of the list, but one of the changes is to be more organized in my posts and projects. You'll see some of the change here in a week or so, but until then I wanted to at least post something. Then Thursday night happened!
Last week was busy with MoPS (Mother of Preschoolers) day at the zoo and my hubby was off of work for three days to do projects around the house, but then Thursday night our irrigation water spigot wasn't turned in the off position and when the whole system came back on, our window well became flooded, half full in fact. It leaked through the window and soaked our carpet in one whole room and part of the landing to the stairs. No damage was done thankfully, but a lot of water to get sucked up, which we did ourselves. At one point we had the carpet padding line drying on our deck and a portion of the carpet sunbathing in our driveway! ROFLOL What a sight!
Everything has settled down a bit and I'm back to my normal busy life. I can finally sit down and create a post.
This month's Release at InStyle Stamps is being showcased all this week on the store blog. You'll have to hop on over there and check it all out! I'm taking a wee bit of a break and it's just tearing me up I can't create with all the great images this month, so head on over and drool with me as we window shop!!!!!! Then Friday is release day. All the images will be available in the store.
In honor of release week, I'm posting a card I made last month for the InStyle Stamps July Release week. I'm not sure how it was left out of my post then, but it's coming in handy for today.
This Witchy Cat is from InStyle Stamps July Release. It's such a whimsical cat and not too scary for me either. I colored him with my Prismacolor Markers and did that trick where you cut out a portion of the image around the edges but use a Nestabilities die for the rest. I'm not sure where I first learned about that technique, but it's been handy a few times.
I colored the background in with Pumpkin Orange Prismacolor marker and popped him up on some black paper. Printed out my sentiment and used my Tim Holtz On the Edge Brackets die to get that reverse scallop edge. Then I created some button flowers using RAK primas from Virginia (thanks Hon!) and some black button thread to tie them all together.
Have a great Monday everyone! Well I'll just say Tuesday now that the day is almost over.

These Pretzels are making me thirsty!
My husband started me on the trek to using TV and movie quotes in my sentences and communication to make it a bit more fun to have conversation with each other. I rarely remember them, but "These pretzels are making me thirsty" is one quote I remember. I have no idea what the context was when Jerry Seinfeld used in his TV series by the same name, but I'll use it literally today for my project post.

I'm using a cocktail image from DigiStamp Boutique called Summer Quencher. It's adorable and so fun to color with that big petal flower. If you look close enough you'll see something tied into the bow. It's these single serving drink mixes that are just right for a bottle of water. I didn't come up with idea and I really don't know how behind I might be on this crafting trend, but until I received one of these in July I had no idea how neat this gift really can be. I was rushing out the door for my children's outdoor swim lessons and I had everything ready for them but nothing for me!! So I grabbed this gift and it was such a great time saver for me. I'll do it again in a heartbeat!
In August you can get this image along with two others as part of DigiStamp Boutique's Offer of the Month. There are two and I'll be sending out another post next week with Rocky Robin who is adorable adorable!
Have a fantastic Friday! Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs,
Janelle
